August once again brings us the launch party of DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJ poll. In comparison to the dime-a-dozen public voting awards that strive to achieve credibility in some way/shape/form, DJ Mag is steps ahead, years even as they return in 2005 with the only real internationally regarded top 100 DJ list.

Returning to AKA with their industry combined open-to-the-public mash-up DJ Mag have called on musical talents of Giles Smith of secretsundaze, Paul Woolford of Basics/Space Ibiza and Tim Sheridan of Nastydirtysexmusic to provide the backdrop for their usual light hearted boozer.

Encouraging the voters this year, DJ Mag’s editor Leslie Wright said “Everyone who loves dance music can get involved. This is the public’s chance to vote for those DJs who have rocked their world over the past 12 months. The Top 100 DJs is the clubbers’ choice.â€

i'm not voting anymore, i don't need a '#1' besides my fav DJ's name to
make me like his sound or listen better to him.

their poll is full of shite, it was a good idea for the first couple of years but
the last two years has been total shite (especially last year)
