The Vestax DJ Academy at The Academy Of Contemporary Music runs a Diploma and Higher Diploma in DJ Skills in association with Vestax.

The DJ school offers students the opportunity to meet and work with some of the finest mixers, DJâ€™s and producers in the industry. The course involves a wide range of stylistic and practical involvement, covering everything from basic mixing and track selection, to aural perception, musical awareness and live performance workshops.

Modules on the DJ school are arranged so that students can maintain a focus towards a specific area as well as covering the basic essentials.

Recording and production techniques are offered to all DJ students as well as modules to cater for each individual style. ACM has collaborated with Vestax and arranged a great line up of gear including CDX 35 CD players, PMC 270 mixers and PDX 2000 turntables. Along with the impressive digital recording and production suites already in place at ACM, the DJ school offers hands on industry level experience for all its students.

For UK Residant the course is arround 3500 $
For Non UK Residants its arround 9500 $

a week later u know what u bought and what it does.
2 weeks later u'll learn how to beat match
3 weeks later u'll mix ur 1st set
4 weeks later u MIGHT get a gig.

i think the best in DJs is their tastes.. and that can never be tought nor bought..

it's cool to have someplace to teach DJing skilss.. but $9,500 ?! it's not like a BS in business or something!

Guys this is not Dj Skills only, its general music history learning and production and remix and mix in a proper recording studio.

I agree on the Creative side of a DJ and that talents cant be thought but its not mature to say that, because its just as any other profession in the world, u can always learn things ur self but if pro people r teachin you the history of it, the proper rules, the basic strong foundation and the secrets of it, you'll end up having much bigger experience and knowledge from when u learn it urself.

They dnt teach you how to be a Dj, they teach you the basic of the functions and the proper ways of using them so that u become a pro)technicaly) after that you add on ur talent to it and ur all set.
I agree its a bit expensive thought, but thats the same for any other University u goto or Institute, its always much more expensive for non Citizens.

Genesis i would go to UK man, but i would never live there,

in fact, this year starting sept i will have a lot of trips there..
