I can’t hide the fact that I’m shocked with the results of this years chart, and I’m talking about the general results for everyone??! Like most people I thought that it was a spoof chart until I found out that it was the real thing??!!
People are asking me if I’m upset. Well the answer is yes and no. I’m upset for all the DJ’s who entered this poll as a legit candidate and got lost amongst the others who obviously have more questionable powers to gain votes. The way I look at it. I didn’t cheat. I’ve had a very busy year touring around the World and gained many more fans. These extra votes have kept me in the top 50.
I think the credibility of the DJ magazine chart needs some serious attention, before it becomes worthless. This is a chart of people who have the most powerful people around them and contacts within IT to crack the system to gain extra votes. The voting system seriously needs to be overlooked to make it fair. We wouldn’t chose the presidents of our countries by using an email system, it’s an open door for cheating and rigging. I’m not taking anything away from many DJ’s in the chart because many of them truly deserve their placeings. But many have lost out that deserve to be much higher or that have even dropped out the chart completely.
I’m proud because I did it the honest way and let may fans vote for me. Now I’m faced with the prospect of next years chart. Do I lower myself and cheat to get extra votes to survive in the chart, I think not. It’s a shame.
