Lads, before it all goes out of control: please do not attack Tiesto for this.
Stick to the topic and acknowledge the fact that the world is business and
money-driven including the music industry.

(I'm not saying anyone started anything, but I'm just stating this for the
record.)

In other news, Tiesto's music doesn't appeal to me (unless he goes back
in time to In My Memory - one of the ultimate trance albums of the last 10
years) so I'll pass on the Olympic idea.

^ I doubt that his future wife would like it

Restaurant in Holland, Concerts with and at Armani, now Coca-Cola, next: Personal Computer with Tiesto Vista as the Operating System.
I will gladly open the doors of hell to this guy... music killer

EDIT: oops too late Gen :D but i can't help it :|

Compiling an album is one thing, going with Armani and Coca is another. I love ISOS4 and ISOS6.
I bash him for another reason, and i'll keep on doing it till i die.
Tiesto can easily gather A LOT of people at his events without Coca-Cola, Armani, Microsoft, Cortina or Abu Mustafa Hot-Dogs, and then give the money made at the event to charity funds. He has my respect for being active with charities. But i just hate this idea that he, basically as an artist and DJ, collaborates with purely business oriented firms. Music industry is also a business, but different from the one where those firms operate. If you start treating music tracks/songs like digital cameras (like products) then you're destroying the purpose and values of music. That's actually why i don't like the (sad) fact that they all call themselves as producers. I actually didn't see when this trend started. Before they were artists... (respect to AIRWAVE for example, and Mike Foyle, for example, cuz he plays on piano too, or Galen Behr for being a violinist)

When Armin will start doing similar things to a point that it can be easily noticed then i'll also start bashing, no worries about it.

People who LOVE music, who have it in their blood and genes, have my admiration and respect more than those who have brains made of $$$.

And bashing Tiesto has nothing to do with being a Trance guru or not. I have some good knowledge in this music but never considered myself as a guru.

Btw, for Olympics 2004, i didn't know that he did the anthem :P but when i found out i also attacked that (but wasn't on TH at that time).

^ There's no problem at all, just a difference in perception and opinions. I don't look at my nose but beyond it, meaning that i'm not the type that gets satisfied only with compilations like ISOS but rather the type that pays attention to more details in the DJ's career than only the music (which isn't even his when it comes to most of "his" tracks).
If the majority of people were able to criticize and question when something goes wrong then Tiesto wouldn't have so many fans. Unfortunately the majority just go with the flow.
