BYE BYE DUMONDE!

Postby TRANCExual » Tue Dec 18, 2007 12:04 am

Another team of hard trance producers decide to go their separate way with Dumonde today announcing they will no longer be producing any more music under the alias. The team known as Juergen Mutschall (JamX) and Dominik de Leon have called it a day on their most famous joint project in dance music. It comes after a good ten years of pumping out quality records which have been played in every major club across the world for years.

The news came in the form of a statement released by the duo:

"In what is a sad moment for us. We have decided to call an end to DuMonde. We could quote artistic differences, different directions, solo productions but we will spare you all the clichés.

We spent ten years at the top with DuMonde. With the Album a Decade we captured and highlighted a chapter in our joint career and have decided to make it a closure point for us .We feel that this makes a natural break, drawing a line under the success we achieved as one of the most respected trance acts on the scene. Gun due for release this month will be our final joint production as DuMonde, a track that is a strong and fitting end to a great ten years …

For 2008, both JamX and De Leon have a number of individual projects lined up. Some of the new solo works will embrace the feel of what has been done in the past while others will be moving in completely new and fresh directions.

We would like to thank all of you who supported us over the last ten years our loyal fans, the DJs and producers we worked with and now we are going to go into clichés, friends, family etc, but seriously to all of you, thanks we couldn’t have done it without you.

We hope you will enjoy the future with us as we embark on our solo projects and look forward to your continued support. "

I read about it on trance.nu a couple of days ago. It's sad :( i liked this duo a lot back in the late 90s/early 00s. Good luck in their solo projects!

It's not sad. The Hard/NRG trance style died a long time ago. It's a good start. I'll keep an eye on both of their solo releases. Let's see where this will go :)
