Haris C
His music interest started in the early 80s at the age of 12, when his father bought him a classic guitar. He started taking guitar and piano lessons for 5 years until one day he decided with 3 of his friends to start a heavy metal group called ULTIMATUM. They got the name of the band from the gulf war, when the USA had sent an ultimatum to Saddam during the gulf war in 1989. The group split up in 1993 when 2 of the members went to the army, including Haris. During that time he got his first job as a radio DJ at RADIO1, until 1995 when he had to leave Cyprus for his studies in the UK until 1998. During his studies he visited some clubs including MOS where he first saw Brandon Block and that's when his interest in dance music started. Saving money from his pocket money gave him the chance to buy a mixer and a dual CD player, and started playing for his friends at private school parties! 2 years later he got his first job at Foundry Club placed in Coventry playing garage and house music! Although his love was for TRANCE music he was still playing what he was asked to.
In 1998 he returned to Cyprus focusing in his day time job until 2000 when he joined Anthony 642 for opening and warm up sets at the Versus. In 2002 he got his residency at the Domus were he was playing House music and thats were all started..radio shows on DI.FM, ETN.FM, MIX FM CYPRUS, Danceradio.gr...and and and residencies @ Cyprus biggest clubs till now.
2003 and 2007 were very busy years for Haris, not only for his gigs and radio shows but also for his music production. After playing along with the biggest names like: PAUL VAN DYK, MATT DAREY,JUDGE JULES,PLASTIC ANGEL, JOHN O CALLAGHAN, RANK 1, SOLARSTONE,FERRY CORSTEN, SONIQUE, JOHN OO FLEMING, ASTRAL PROJECTION, 4 STRINGS, DARREN TATE, JON O BIR, GAVYN MYTCHEL , DAVID GUETTA was given a lot of support having his tracks played all around the globe!! MATT DAREY, JOHN O CALLAGHAN, TALLA 2XLC, SOLARSTONE, TILLMAN URCHMAHER, JOHAN GIELEN, ADAM WHITE, PLASTIC ANGEL, KUFFDAM&PLANT, SOPHIE SUGAR, GEORGE ACOSTA, TALLA 2XLC, AMADEUS, GIORGIO PONTICELLI & LANGE to name a few were supporting Haris C's tracks all these years .
Haris C is being said that he is one of the pioneers of trance music introduction to Cyprus Community so in 2004 a competition was made by Cluboholic.com made who is the NO 1 DJ of Cyprus!
Haris C was voted as the No 1 DJ of Cyprus and that shows that he is dedicating a lot of time making tracks and taking part in various events and clubbers show a great respect to him! Like Haris said: I just love making people happy! I like to see people faces being happy and enjoy the music every time that I play! I like to be a part of their life It's the most wonderful feeling!
2005 Haris C was signed to Afterglow Records for the EP ROOM WITH A VIEW which sold 500 copies in just 24 hours ranked high on the best selling records on juno.co.uk, only djs, dancerecords.com and countless others! Kuffdam
DJ'ing since 1994. Originally started out as a bedroom DJ spinning Hardcore tracks. Toured with Nitravision/Groovediggaz in October 1996 with the highlights being a gig in Ireland in front of a 3000 strong crowd supported by a young Fergie and Mark Sherry from Public Domain. Moved into Progressive, Trance and Hard Trance DJ sets in 1997 to present day. Past gigs have included the Transcend club night in Glasgow, a party night organized, promoted and DJ'd @ by Kuffdam and co-partner Money as well as playing support to Flutlicht at the Terminal night. Headlining at the Santa Barbara in Cyprus to a 500 strong crowd while playing with Cy-Snake from Es Paradis in Ibiza. Spinning for the first time in London at the Enter night alongside Breakbeat, Progressive and House DJ's in a mash-up night.
Launched Trance Airwaves Radio in 2003 with close work friends from over the UK and the world (www.tranceairwaves.com). The site gives me a home to call my own with fortnightly live shows as well as working closely with big name guest DJ's like Alphazone, Paul Mendez, Judge Jules, Darren Tate, Goldenscan, Matt Darey and more plus weekly and monthly live shows from clubs around the UK and Europe. The site has been a massive success with around 4 million hits a month and 50,000 listeners tuning in for the various shows. Massive sponsors now include Above The Sky Records, Nu-Star DJ's and Lost Language Records.
2003 also kicked off a strong partnership with fellow producer Plant from Cyprus working as a production team. Kuffdam & Plant have now had tracks supported by the likes of Paul Van Dyk, Paul Mendez, John OO Fleming, Tony Burt, Andy Bagguley and many more. The next step has been to move into remixing with several tracks already signed and due for release in the coming months of 2004. The Shove Brothers is a second DJ'ing & Production project undertaken in 2004 by Kuffdam. The Shove Brothers confirmed a new residency in Scotland in January. The night named Shakedown sees Kuffdam & DJ Money play back to back for 4 hours every week and mixing through everything from House to Trance. Guests so far have included Beat 106's very own Lisa Littlewood and ID&T artist Paul Mendez.
The Shove Brothers first production, Paranoia was released on 020 Records with Danjo & Styles on the remix. The track was supported by Rank 1, Marco V and Misja Helsloot to name but a few...
Amex
Amedeo Gaspari, also known as Amex, has clearly already earned his place in the trance scene. When he was only 14, Trance caught his attention from the first beat, and it hasn't weakened a bit since. Born in Mirano, near Venezia, in 1986, he moved when he was only 3 to a little town near Milano. At the age of 16, he begins to produce music, and after some years he has finally made the jump in the dance scene.
Releasing tracks and remixes on labels like Armada Music, Spinnin, Bonzai, Alter Ego, he's considered one of the true youngest rising star of the scene.
The Dj support is really amazing and includes top acts like: Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Solarstone, Gareth Emery, Alex M.O.R.P.H. and many more.
Several releases has been chosen for popular compilations like Dream Dance and Technics DJ Set and have been playlisted on shows like Armin Van Buuren's “A State Of Trance” Episode 278 & 299, "Tiesto's Club Life" Episode 007 and Anjunabeats Wordwide Episode 018 & 026.
But Amex is not only a producer but also a talented dj; he partecipated at the biggest italian trance event, Emotional Planet, in the new year night, in one of the most famous italian club, La Fortezza, in Florence and he also started two new radioshows, with worldwibe range, on Afterhours.fm and Magame.pl.
