iving Legend. Two words that describe few but inspiring people that have been in any business for a long time and are still making history. One of the people, without a doubt, who have earned that title. Having built an outstanding DJ reputation globally, Ferry Corsten is still giving it his best everywhere and making sure that people will be leaving his events with smiles on their face.

To continue this journey and mission, Ferry Corsten, and Flashover Recordings are taking this to the next level.

On 27 October, UDC will host a spectacular event around Ferry Corsten in the Rotterdam Ahoy, with the theme ‘Masquerade’, referring to the masks Ferry has put aside. After having completely organized mega-events around Carl Cox (three editions) and Armin van Buuren (two episodes) in the legendary Ahoy stadium, UDC will again present a groundbreaking dance event with a top international artist. Full-On Ferry is on the one hand an event where the various musical facets of Ferry Corsten can be expressed; trance, techno and electro. On the other, it is a festive reunion of his fellow DJs and producers who, like Ferry, have produced music under a number of aliases. "I want to throw a big party with these artists, with an emphasis on partying. A dance event revolves around the experience of all of those present, not just one person. That’s why the co-operation with various other artists in a huge event like this appeals to me." The theme "Masquerade" will be worked out to the smallest details in the decoration, visuals and performance acts. "The mysterious and exciting character of the masquerade party in the Ahoy stadium creates the same adventurous feeling that I experience during my studio work and DJ performances."

Ferry Corsten launches his own radio show! It's finally time for one of the big names in the industry to get his own space as a radio show host and DJ. But what's the show called?
Corsten's Countdown.
It's a weekly radio show with a monthly chart show every last episode of the month. Not only will Ferry be introducing new tracks, but he will play his favorite records of the moment during the one hour show, while at the same time listeners can vote weekly on his website for the countdown at the end of the month. The final poll will not only be based on the votes, but also on reactions of people, as well current standing on various charts worldwide. This unique concept is the first radio show worldwide that allows listeners to actively vote on the internet and decide what the hits of the future will be. "At the very beginning of my career I listened to a Dutch Radio show called 'The Soulshow' , this was the first radio show playing imported dance records from the US & UK. I was impressed not only with the music but also the way the show was produced.
During my first production years I used to have my own radio show on a small radio station in my hometown Rotterdam. It was loads of fun even if it was a lot of work. With the development of technology and all these cool gadgets, I can now produce a radio show according to a concept and standard that I am proud of even while travelling. Corsten’s Countdown is not just a radio show with good music but a show that’s well produced, fun to listen to, and interactive as well. I am really excited that I can finally pick up my old passion of radio and give it a fresh twist."

In the fourth and last show of the month, Ferry will present Corsten’s Countdown Chart: your top 10 favorite tracks based on the voting results of the previous 3 weeks. No YOU are crazy ;) I think you need to go for some therapy :D

When you reach to the BEGINNING point of knowing how good an artist is and totally appreciating his/her work, then come back and post here :)

To me, Ferry has done so much to the scene that many artists strive to do so right now.
