You're welcome guys!! And thanks as well to you
My lil review...
- The stupid Hummer is gone (But the old set-up is back, looks better to the crowd, makes life harder for the djs with the cd players)
- LASERS!! The last time I recall the Barajeel had any lasers was back in December when AvB played there, this time it was even better than that (Apart from one of them, will elaborate in the next point)... Two at the front and two at the back, red and green. Looked quite impressive, the guy in charge of it did a good job, it blended well with the music
- The 'rave' lasers started at around 1, but the other laser only illuminated sentences throughout the night behind the djs... And people were able to SMS their messages and have them displayed in laser, personally I found that lame and kind of distracting, but eventually ignored it and just enjoyed the music =)
- The most important element: The actual MUSIC! Nice set by Afro, followed by Madjam who started at around 01:30... One hour into his set, the ULTRA hyper madjam holds the mic and says that "We will take things to another level now"... But what followed was totally unexpected... Madjam plays a prog house tune (ID?), then, out of the blue, we hear Super 8 & DJ Tab's tune "Needs To Feel", leaving me and a few other people around stunned… It didn’t end there, Sander Van Doorn’s remix of King Of My Castle followed… I know they aren’t the ‘tranciest’ tunes out there, but it certainly took things to another level. These last 30 or so minutes featured several vocal hits, don’t recall the IDs exactly, but they were all the “HIB” type as I refer to them (Heard It Before

)
One last thing about the lasers, no disrespect or whatever, but initially when the ‘rave’ lasers from the front and the back started, I thought it was a ‘bit’ too much for a Usual Suspects night, but as the set progressed it was obvious that they actually enhanced the atmosphere and the overall experience
