Tech Trance incorporates traditional elements of Techno, with its repetitive nature and strong 4/4 beat, while deriving the melodic elements from Trance. Tech Trance compositions tend to have a tempo of around 135-150 BPM. Tech Trance tends to utilize a more driving sound while commonly using distortion as an effect on the melodies. Also, the melody containing strings and pads will begin once the beat has completely stopped, playing by itself much like a Trance breakdown.

Well, I have no idea how Raneem and I are supposed to last (at least) six hours (let alone the pre-gig logistics) when we're both dead sick and barely able to walk around the house! hahaha out of all the weeks of the year, we just had to catch a cold THIS week, and ironically on the hottest week of the year so far!
But don't you worry, we'll make sure to deliver even if that means sitting down through the process hahaha
We're both so excited and can't wait to get the show started! As already mentioned, I kick off at noon, and Raneem takes over after 3 hours or so
What you need to know about my set is that it won't be much of a "average tunes until people show up then the gems when it's packed", but rather starting off with the beauties right away since the beach will already be buzzing at noontime!
I'll be starting off with some very "beachy" ProgTrance, i.e. a whole lot of guitars, vocals, and other balearic stuff, to then move on to the "clubby" side of (melodic) ProgTrance - no dark material though, it's a friggin' beach for crying out loud!
Expect a few "known" tracks too, since the crowd will mostly consist of beach-goers who are not necessarily trancers... no commercial shit though, needless to say!
I've received tons of requests and I'm taking them ALL with me; I'll try to drop as many of the requests as I can, but of course can't promise them all for obvious DJing reasons.
I'm also taking along a SHITLOAD of older material (2004-2006) so I'll try to throw in some nostalgia in there too!
Oh and you're in for a HUGE surprise towards the end of my set
when you see me hold up a CD, get closer and read the label to get a sneak peak of the surprise
