Rudy my good friend, I am fully aware that PvD is only nominated for the awards and didn't win them yet. And to be honest, my criticism extends further than flooding PvD's name - it goes to having the same exact names nominated every single year. PvD, Tiesto, and A&B all are DJs and producers that have established their names on the scene and won me as a loyal fan far before they won their fame, but that doesn't mean that they're the only good producers out there, or the only ones that have to be nominated year after year.
Of course I am not refering to a "DJ Bobo", but why only nominate the "famous" names? What about the other not-so-famous names that had a huge impact in 2005 and are currently shaping tomorrow's Trance sound? To limit myself to just one example, what about Andy Moor? His productions and remixes released in 2005 are too numerous to count and have set a standard for the future ProgTrance sound - does PvD who only released one track in 2005 or Tiesto
who didn't produce nor remix anything in 2005 outweigh Andy's efforts and influence just because Vandit's marketing strategy got The Other Side to penetrate commercial charts and TiC2 was unleashed to the masses? I think not! And that's just one of many examples in just one of many categories - this is why I won't be voting... I hope I was able to deliver my point.
(I still love you though... cuddle?
