@ gen: this is not a "gig", it's a seated concert or "experience"
@ziz: music without the whole visual aspect won't do it ;)

"POSTPONED" - which is Lebanese for cancelled.

I would say it's because they didn't sell enough, since it wasn't well advertised, adding to the fact that the Lebanese people are, generally, musically ignorant.

There goes my dream...

they mentioned August as next date though i wouldn't be surprised if it is canceled
dio, majority of events are not doing well this summer, especially electronic music related one --> lack of cash with people, events and festivals are condensed in one month, while rooftops are taking the biggest share of the cake

I got some inside info from Solidere: it seems really postponed, not cancelled. Claims are that the stage designed was assessed as unsafe by 2 structural engineering firms. Let's wait and see!

Hello everyone, from Hungary!

I'm sorry for this uncertain situation wether concerts will be held or not...

If the sales and advertising both were/are not decent, then I think it is unlikely the concerts will be scheduled to next year, but this is only my opinion. We will see.

On JMJ.com (official) forum a member may tells correctly : Jarre has recently held a free concert in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Maybe that should have been organised with ticekts and, being aware of musical life and life in general, in everyday, Beirut performances could have been done in free of charge.

Anyway, let's hope JMJ management and Lebanese promoter "We Group" will find a solution soon. But I doubt the concerts will take place this year, due to tight deadline.
