Wo0oW well I just ran into this thread and my oh my, thank you guys for making this forum look so uneducated! This thread needs to be burnt to the ground, but I'll give it my best to desperately try to salvage the situation:

I don't like Techno, but I respect Techno. Like electro-sam said, as long as it's music done for the sake of music and not for the sake of record label cash, it's music I respect. What I admire about Techno is how such an incredibly complex structure turns out sounding so harmonic - this can indeed be found in Trance, but definetly not as much as Techno.

And guys, for fuck's sake, when zabrelayrwle (that took a while to type! ) speaks of Techno, he's not talking about the D-Devils or commercial acts like that, he's talking about Sven Vath, he's talking about Oliver Lieb, and big names with this magnitude that deserve respect for keeping the scene alive.

Listen to real Techno, then judge.

usually you start by enjoying trance, when u get so into it u start uncovering other genres until you realize that Techno is the shit!!:p
the number of techno djs doubles in the top100 dj mag every year this proves techno is becoming more accessible and more popular.
