I know this is long and a lil full of curses but im really pissed off, i wrote it last night when i got back home at 2am
You couldn’t imagine how pissed off I am. This night (Jan 7) will always be the WORST night of 2006 and at only the first week of the year. TERRIBLE ORGANIZATION by our so called ‘wonderful’ MixFM and Bacardi Breezer who strive to bring us the best of the best out there but unfortunately don’t care SHIT about the people/customers! I guess to them, it’s ONLY about the amount of tickets they sell! What a fucking smart strategy! You couldn’t believe what was going on at how callous and cheating the situation was. I arrive to the main entrance at 11:30 to find that tickets were still being sold. I had already purchased my ticket from before so I took my spot in line. They had currently stopped letting people in and security was all over the place pushing people back and cursing. I couldn’t blame the people! We all wanted to get inside, some 100+ trance heads. The people had become overwhelmingly anxious at around midnight and began to shout. Many people shouted for an explanation, and other people were screaming at the security to let all ticket holders in, I even heard 2 guys screaming to start a riot; none of us wanted to miss the heavenly music that was going to be played that night. We had no idea what was going on, just waiting out in the cold to see & hear the sensational A&B. The tickets then were sold out and with a ticket or not, all were waiting to see the outcome of the night. Finally one of the security said out load to us all that they were currently DENYING EVERYBODY entrance, and that was that. You wouldn’t believe the outrage of the people! Good for the VIP people who pay double to ensure a spot inside no matter the time they show up! The people were angry and screaming at the security. Most people believed that they would open the doors again after some time, so they continued to stay in their lines, determined to fight the cold stings of the wind to reach the beautiful music of the inner walls of BIEL.
After some time with no change in the situation, everybody was screaming for a reason as to why our night was going this way. SO CLOSE but yet SO FAR AWAY. Who the hell knows who came outside, but some guy did. Some man who seemed to have some authority finally told us that the building has passed its max amount of weight that could be placed on the floor! That because of our jumping around, letting more people in would become a hazard. NICE PLANNING! How fucking stupid do you have to be to continue selling tickets CLEARLY over the limit the building could handle?! I know that on the radio it was said to everyone there that the event was sold out, SOLD OUT is way fucking OVER exaggeration, there were 100+ tickets that had to be refunded because our organizers were so callous! How fucking retarded does an organizer have to be to NOT take into account the ratio of tickets to the max capacity? And this isn’t the first time! The same stupid shit happened with Oakie, I leave the building at 3am to find a large number of ticket holders still waiting outside! Defeated by the ‘system’ the organizer set before us, that they unfortunately are not smart enough to set a specific amount of tickets so that all can gain access to the building we had to return our tickets for a complete refund or face what they said a minimum 2 hour wait to get inside. At least if we wanted to wait, you should build something to block the icy wind you assholes! I guess the refund is the only thing they did right. By 1am I had gotten my money back and was just talking to other outraged people. A bit past 1am, SOLDIERS came with RIFLES looking to start something but we had already begun to peacefully retreat. You couldn’t hear a single conversation that wasnt full of swear words to MixFM, Bacardi Breezer, and in general the system of organizing events in Lebanon. I went to my car and you were all live on the radio! It sounded great! I thought at least I wouldn’t miss the music! And then 10 minutes into the wonderful and enchanting music of Above and Beyond, at 1:30am, John Digweed’s Transitions started to play and ruined any chance to salvage the night. FUCK!
Thank you to everybody who successfully ruined what was to be the first great night of the year. Thank you MixFM for cutting out your live feed you dickheads! One big THANK YOU too any and all efforts you LOVELY Organizers did to make this a night to remember! And to finish this off, my review of the outside of Biel, I hope next time you take into account the amount of people you can have in such a place to the amount of tickets you should sell. I DOUBT the some 150 and even more ticket holders you cheated out of a night to remember will be so retreating next time.
nice review dio
