after a long nice weekend in cyprus I have came back to beirut and resumed work and studies normally.

as you all know I have played at Circus club in Larnaca on friday november 11th and It was one of the most amazing night I ever had with a very energetic and responsive crowd that jumped and partied even harder song after another.

I arrived to the club just before midnight (when the doors are usually opened). It was all decorated from outside with banners with Mix FM's logo on and my name as I was the only "act" of the night. I didn't expect to see my name on such big letters on the street hehehe... so I got in astonished and went to the DJ booth which was behind the club's main bar and which had a full view on the dancefloor and the different parts (entrance , VIP, etc...) i.e. the DJ had control on all corners as it was all visible from the DJ booth (cleverly made).

I was introduced to the club manager , the resident DJ and the rest of the crew including the bar "girl" in front of me very nice people and I felt they were so impatient to start partying from the way they were lightly nodding their heads and shaking their bodies on the medium chilled out beat coming out on a low volume from the huge club speakers.

I was also introduced to 2 denon 3000 cd players and a Pioneer DJM600-II, not forgetting the two seperate denon decks that laid there connected, in case of emergency .
By the time I have started playing some progressive house to put everyone in the mood, the club was already half packed and it was close to 1 a.m. then I made my smooth transition to a higher volume track after another and by that time the dancefloor in front of me was packed and people were still having some drinks. I dropped respectively Nikola Gala-Swing to harmony, Andain-Beautiful things (G&D Remix) and Deep Dish-Say Hello, then my eyes wouldn't believe how fast those people were getting attached to the phat beats and how excited they were as they all started dancing in a way that officially marked the party's beginning. The volume went even louder to an extent that you can feel the bass hitting straight in your face and all of your body (It was an excellent sound system indeed. I continued with some commercial house tracks that they all been waiting for and I took them to the climax with The Drill-The Drill that was everyone's favourite - including me, at the club! I kept on playing commercial house and "cyprus" hit tracks including some RnB and reggaeton till about 2.30 a.m.
I was told that Larnaca's crowd wasn't too much into trance and especially from the resident dj there so I took the "adventurous task" of playing one that they recognize, which was Burned with desire (rising star extended) for Armin van Buuren. at that point : I seriously didnt believe my eyes when i saw the club manager jumping like a maniac and the resident dj as well as all of the people present in the club... the theory was absolutely wrong - trance was made for that crowd !!!
one track followed another , from Elevation to Mark Norman to Paul van Dyk , Above n Beyond vs. Andy Moor till...... I decided to play Advanced -Marcel Woods. the result was the bomb of the night!!!! they partied like animals on that one, then formed a queue at the dj booth to ask the name of the song! I wasn't surprise because I knew what this song could do. yes break a leg Dio! you got it right I continued with some trance tracks as no one wanted to stop jumping and screaming like crazy. I had to switch then to some "murdering" house tracks , among them Call on me (mode hookers remix) which I won't comment on the result that it gave me Some few RnB hits were played too before I hit the trance songs again and before they all hit the dancefloor like maniacs too

Time passed so quickly and it was nearing the end at 4:05 a.m. when the club manager signaled me 10 minutes to the curfew limit (2nd and final limit) which was 4:15 a.m.
I managed to play some of their favourites at the end such as Adagio for strings and the all time classic : For an Angel... a few more tracks until I turned the music completely off and had my share of cheering and clapping of the semi empty club. I was saluted on my way out by some drunk clubbers (I was almost drunk anyway thanks to the drinks fountain that wouldn't stop from the bar in front of me ). Then I was asked to come back pretty soon by many concerened people and I accepted with pleasure to do so .

I continued my journey in cyprus by going to the "way out west" event that was held on saturday night in nicosia and the traditional day out in the village and nature on sunday with my cypriot colleagues (thank you all).

That's a full review for you all, I hope you like it and you could do the same one day to raise Lebanon's name high once again
