I assure you that everybody that missed that night...actually missed a very very special night!
Where to begin...mmm..I came in rather early to hear Ziad's set around 1h20 as usual only positive comments comming from that guy he amazingly accomplished his task of opening... a mild selection of 123/124/125 Bpm tracks that are as usual unique and trippy!
Caroline took over at 2 her music wasn't really my cup of tea for like 50% of the time but she had a very nice selection if you want to globally comment on her performance it was something like daft punk but it turned dark from time to time ...pretty unique... as for the mixing skills .. she unfortunately had none it was only fade in and fade out ... no beat matching whatsoever but still I liked her music =)
and there it was at 3 .. a duo that I had never seen before .. quite charismatic to be honest and with a mad set up a synthesizer/ableton live and another mixer-alike looking effect box that was right next to the 92. so as they started their performance I was automatically captivated by their talent and uniqueness with one member of the duo that could actually play the synth not like most who just place one for the show off... and the track selection was very special its not something you hear everyday it was a melting pot of electronica break beats electro house and weird sounds! that reminded me a bit of Zabiela to be honest =O
unfortunately I was hit by yet another migraine and had to leave around 4:15 or so and i didn't have time to see what they were keeping for the closing of their session nor what was Gunther cooking in the dark behind them.
Great night , Great Crowd , Very nice set up .. it spices it up a bit from your regular B018 event =)
