Thanks for the early feedback maddy! On my way to the pics and vid...

Do you still remember any of the Techno tracks he played? I've been obsessing over Techno lately but had no idea Armin was playing some of it too...

Calm down crow! Why do you always try to start an argument you have no way of backing up??? While in person you are all friendly to me?

I have the set recorded- and listened to it carefully... the last 70 min have lots of big Trance tunes, you guys would ID them once I get the approval to share the set

what he does is he drops a techno track between every 2 trance tunes to keep the flow going- and it worked VERY WELL especially so the keys of the tracks don't clash

Workidz Washmachine is the biggest techno track alredy this year- he also played some Angello & Ingrosso mash up of as the rush comes, Funkagenda, Sander Van Doorn's mix of SIA's new track, 3 Deadmau5 tracks, Paul Ritch, Glenn Morrison, Gianluca Motta, Santiago & Bushido, and even ended his set with Inpetto's Mix of Toca Me

The point is- Armin did an excellent job of keeping the crowd excited which I honestly have to admit PvD didn't do at all...

PvD was just noisy- Armin kept it clean!

and yeah, he def deserves his place as DJ Mag's #1...

Why's everyone telling me to chill?
Bel 3aks I'm totally fine lol.
maDJam, I'm friendly whenever, and I'm sorry if the internet makes it look like I'm pissed off and whatnot. I'm friendly all the time so if you thought I'm some sort of hypocrite, you're wrong.

I was merely correcting you about the whole techno thing and telling you to drop the whole "trance DJs dont play trance 100% during their sets". That's pretty much it.

Now back to the other responses, I'm glad you realised that PvD isnt all that maDJam. Armin deserved the number 1 spot. He really works hard for his sets and doesnt disappoint. I'll have to admit again that the hour where he played tech-trance did get boring, though the variety of styles that he played kept everyone on their toes; that is never really knowing what to expect.

Good job in the end and thumbs up to Peppermint again.

LOL. He kicked off with 128 cuz that's the BPM of If You Should Go(Inpetto & Duderstadt remix). Built up to 137 - I could tell because he played Fly to Colours (Genix remix) - and ended with a final build up to 140.

The tracklist gave me a very good idea of what BPM range he was on.
The encores were Yet Another Suburban Train - that was so out of the blue!!!! - and Toca's Miracle (Inpetto 2008 remix).

Omaro might have a good version of the tracklist but here's what I can remember:

o1. Armin van Buuren ft. Justine Suissa - If You Should Go (Inpetto vs. Duderstadt remix)
o2. ID
o3. ID
o4. Morgan Page - Longest Road (Deadmau5 remix)
o5. ID
o6. ID
o7. Arno Cost & Norman Doray - Apocalypse (Original mix)
o8. ID
o9. ID
1o. ID
Tracks 11 to around 18 were mainly tech-trance which I couldn't recognize except around the end of hour 2 - probably track
19. Markus Schulz - Fly To Colours (Genix remix)
2o. Nenes vs. Cosmic Gate - Body of Teksha (Filo & Peri Mashup)
21. Luke Warner & Mat Lock - Deep Psychosis (Daniel Kandi's Cure mix)

then a couple of more IDs that included
Aly & Fila - Lost Language
Doppler Effect - Beauty hides in the deep (JoC remix)

and many other uplifting trance tracks.

how's that for a better idea of what the music style was Dio? :P

In fact to answer your question, it's sort of between low BPM tech and high BPM tech. I would assume he shifted from 132 to 137 playing tech-trance (that includes prog-tech)
