Although you are used to our famous reviewers DIONYSOS and Samer to write reviews, but today I was asked to handle this job. What a night to remember! We arrived after midnight to one of the best beach locations in Beirut. The place is so beautiful yet so difficult & challenging for organizers to throw a big event with big names. To tell you the truth I was expecting something big and I was kind of disappointed not to see the standards we got used to by other professional organizers. One question keeps ponding in my head: "Danny what went wrong yesterday?".
Judge Jules is and will always be a wizard. Blending the different tunes with new remixes he did put a smile on our disappointed faces. Although the alcohol had effect I remember a remix of "Devil" & "Advanced".
Jes was just BEAUTIFUL. Her voice was hardly coming out (wrong sound system setup I presume) so I had to go near her to have a taste of her magical voice. I remember she performed "As the rush comes" and "Ghost".
George Acosta came late when I was ready to leave so I didnt hear much but I remember a track for Andy Moor.
Good things to point out:
1. Beautiful new place with new experience in Beirut
2. VIP beds were great relaxing and perfect. Unlike the VIP beds in the previous event.
Bad things to point out:
1. Sound system was a disaster. I do understand its challenging to throw an event in an open place like this but am sure a lot of improvement could be done.
2. VJ was a joke. For 10 minutes I was watching Windows restarting and reaching the desktop then Acid Pro & Windows Media Player were launched and the sound editing started in the middle of Judge Jules' set.
