AMADEUS @ Starlet on May 19th 2006

just another event organized by MixFM, though this time it's not the usual Rnb/RAP nights but a full on Trance local event that the lebanese scene is really missing these days..

Starlet was almost packed when we reached it, the local DJ was playing some house while the crowd was pumping up for the night.. taking a look to the crowd it was obvious that it was divided into two categories, the trance fans who gathered there waiting for AMADEUS and the regulars of Starlet who most probably werent that familiar with our music and had to experience a heavy weight trance invasion!!

AMADEUS took over the decks at around 1:30 starting off with Oliver Prime's I Was A Bee followed by the almighty Let The Game Begin starting off with a progressive treat going on higher with uplifting trance then some banging tech tunes.. going back and forth with uplifting and tech then throwing some classics in between like Other Side and Satellite surely it was one hell of a journey piloted by AMADEUS 'the captain' Starlet 'the crew' MixFM 'the flighing agency' and WE were 'the lucky passengers' who enjoyed every minute of this trancy flight..

the only negative points about yesterday's event were concerning the place, it was too tight for a trancy event as there's no room for any dancing whatsoever in addition to the tight strict rules on the door having a need for only couples to get in with a minimum charge of $35!! i guess club owners maybe should reconsider their rules when it comes to special events and especially EDM ones as this "only couples" would be hard to apply..

I missed seeing Amadeus where he belongs and looks best in most, up there in a DJ booth, with a hungry crowd (yes Johnny was there) beneath his feet craving for Trance!

I had a great time, though I had to leave early, missing out on those classics SamEr singled out... actually only missing out on Satellite as you all know how I feel towards The Other Side! Call me a psychic but I had a hunch that Amadeus would use the Pollenflug Interludium of I Was A Bee as an intro! The tracklist then went on to be very diverse in genres, satisfying everyone in the house, except for Johnny who was still hungry of course...

SamEr pointed out the two drawbacks of the night: raving space and minimum charge... no need to repeat what was already said. But bottom line is, I'm glad that there was a small-scaled local Trance event with a large-scaled local Trance DJ, which is exactly what the scene needs given the over-abundance of local House DJs in events.

I hope this summer will mark radical change in Lebanese club nights, the first of which being last night. Onto the next!

Sorry couldnt go was dead tired from basement's night out on thursday! Sorry to hear about the minimum charge its simply not fair.

On another hand am glad you all enjoyed Amadeus's music as usual he never disappoints. I hope these small trance events keep occuring on regular basis.

Amazing Night indeed .. thanx amadues .. i wont repeat what the others said cuz its the same of what i experienced ....

but at the door i told them that i have a table so i didnt pay minimum charge .... i payed later on 290 $ (minimum charge my ass) lol .. anyways AL MOHEM we had an amazing night

Ah yes. you are a great Dj AMADEUS!
The tracklist was amazing; chapeau bas really!
Plz post the tracklist so people know what they missed!!

Yes the place was too packed and anyway it wasn't the right place for such a night.
The MINIMUM charge is too EXPENSIVE!
The sound system was good.. i loved the night, there were quality people
there..

Ok as I said for those who had to pay 35$ at the door, we will make it up for you, so please send me a PM so that you'll have a free invitation for the next gig. As far as I remember there were 5 or 6 people who payed at the entrance , so I'm waiting for your messages.
As for the coming event, if there will be an entrance fee, it's gonna be much less than 35$.
