I had a great time, although I think the music really suckedd,, dunno if digweeds fault or those speakers were only delivering boring BASSS all the time... Or maybe that's House music.. :P

Really liked the place though..

I arrived a bit late and missed madjam's set. :| As a trancer the repetitive choons were annoying and killing me, but later after few drinks (lost count) I had a good time. Dunno what to say but I know one thing for sure a trancer cannot survive a house set like yesterday without a catalyst and in my case ALCOHOL. Yes I had fun and yes it was a nice night but do I have to get tipsy and high from alcohol to enjoy it? This is the real question. I couldnt stay for long either had to leave around 3.30 so I missed Amadeus, Gunther, and Stamina. It was nice meeting all you TH'erz like always you guys are the AMAZING! Last but not least thank you Bacardi and thank you Mix FM for another successful event.

JUST WOKE UP .... :D

What can i say .. Amazing Night Indeed .. Seriously the best gig i ever attended in leb !!!

new venue .. i like it .. but i prefer the other venues ... as khaled said weird smells from the concrete surrounding us and the DIGWEED thingy :D .... the good thing about it music kept on going till the early hours of the morning ... the bad thing its weird rectangular shape ... bad for clubbers to rave ... u will be squeezed easily !!!

Djs / Music : Madjam great set man ... my style of music .. what can i say .. ur one of the djs that inspired me to the HOUSE nation !!

Jimmy Van M : great tunes .... new way of mixing and driving the crowd crazy .. but what i didnt like about him is his lack of bonding with the crowd ... he just stood there like a statue enjoying the music .. eventually the DJ must reflect his music in his expressions...

John Digweed : what can i say about this guy ... great dj ... loved his progressive house set ... too much energy in it .. great way of spinning the base of house music .... as i enjoyed his music last year ... this year was more than what i expected !!!

Amadues : As usual great set ... amazing tunes ... amazing way of ending a great night ... seriuosly people didnt wanna leave ... 7:00 am and the warehouse is full .. if the music kept on going till now .. trust me people would have stayed :D:D .. i know i would !!!

The Deep Room : Stamina and Gunther ... 1st it was nice meeting u guys .. and watching u play in such an anthusiam style ... loved ur sets ... i stayed there quiet a time :D .

P.s : Nice meeting u DJ HASAN (PRANA RESIDENT @ AMMAN)

Sound/Light System : From my opinion the place can be set for a great sound system .. too bad each event we r suffering the same problems ... in this event .. the bass was too much .. seriuosly too much . that damaged too many great tunes and our ears ... anyways the lazer show was unique this time ... i like it .. kinky decoration ....

The Crowd : 20 % True ravers .. and the rest made what can i say .. didnt know who the hell was the dj or what is the genre he plays .. step by step people will get educated with styles of music !! HOPEFULLY

YALA PEOPLE GREAT RAVING WITH U .. ESPECIALLY TH'ERZZZ

TILL THE NEXT ONE !!!

a copy/past of my review on LR (sorry for the mention of some nicks not on TH):
Left for the Warehouse at around 11:10 and I was prayingi’ll be able to catch Jimmy Van M set from the start… When I was driving, I was feeling those butterflies that grab your stomach before each gig you’re eager to attend, not knowing what to expect, and yeah, how much I missed this feeling….

Arriving to Mkalles, saw the lasers pointing at the sky, and saw lots of cars and clubbers, and yeah, I love this feeling, as u can start feeling the vibes…

I parked my car on the street and preferred to walk for 10 mins instead of being stuck in the Warehouse parking… While walking towards the venue, I saw the “Warehouseâ€

First of all I would like to give the full credits to Mixfm and Bacardi Breezer for all the efforts they have put to come up with this wonderful new venue "The Warehouse". It seemed so tough during the preparation phase and sometimes looked impossible to organize it in such a place due to the numerous difficulties they have endured. But with two passionate partners, "impossible" remains just a word or an idea that would make them more and more decisive in solving all the obstacles that would come in their way...

Saturday the 18th of February 2006, "The Mkalles Warehouse" a new venue has witnessed a different event than the ones we got used to in 2005, and this time with one of the finest progressive house DJ's in the world John Digweed.
One thing I regret, is missing my favorite DJ, maDJam who performed the opening set.
As I came in the venue at 11:35, Jimmy Van M was already on the decks playing house tunes, a "melowish" set reaching up to progressive at some moments.
The Warehouse looked huge, from the out and inside, with an amazing setup and a beautiful well placed stage. What attracted my attention mostly, the two contruction machines which were placed on both sides of the DJ booth.

At around 1:20 John Digweed took over the decks with a nice new introduction concept, which neither the crowd nor John had been expecting; a short summary of Digweed's career and achievements played on DVD on the giant screen and all over the plasmas.
I never knew what to expect from the Digger, but last time he played in Lebanon in Feb. 2004 his music was somehow monotonous. So I was hoping for a much better set; and as he started dropping one quality track after the other I began loving it! He was the master of the night, he managed to move the crowd as he wished and the way he wanted sometimes smoothly and dazzling them and sometimes making them reaching the peak of excitement with tracks varying from tech and progressive to electro house with nice melodies in some few tunes.
Even though he's not the type who interacts with the crowd but Digweed took the crowd
into his own world and I can safely say that his set was definitely the best house set I have heard out of all house DJ's, from mixing skills and techniques to quality music.

More than 4,500 people were attending the gig. I enjoyed the wonderful view of the venue filled with clubbers from the VIP section which was a bit higher than the regular area.
Lots of fans and friends were asking when I was going to start my follow up or after hour set, but actually I had no idea when John was going to stop, until 4:15a.m. when his manager approached and said that he's going to play until 5. At that time, Gunther and Stamina had already started their much awaited set in the "Deep Room" which was located on the left side of the DJ booth.
I must say that Digweed is a very humble and modest guy, from what I felt from my short conversation with him on stage.
Digweed's music was full of variety and the last three tracks played were progressive trance.

At 5:05 a.m. I took over the decks, and I had to start with some few progressive house tunes, and I knew that at some point I had to reach to progressive trance due to hundreds of fans down there that were eagerly waiting for a change in style. After 30 minutes of my set I could really feel the energy the crowd still had and how much they were willing to stay and party until the early morning, especially after playing the track "We interrupt this program"; at that time they exploded as if the gig was still in it's early hours.
Simply this was one of the most touching moments for me on stage because of the way the Lebanese clubbers interacted to the music through the whole one hour and a half and they were even ready to stay more and more had it been legal for us to go on beyond 6:30 a.m.

Finally I would like to thank ALL loyal Lebanese clubbers who were definitely behind the success of all Mixfm and Bacardi Breezer legendary events.
