Had a great dinner at around 9:30 with some of the coolest guys - one of them s Subzero 88 or somethin here on TH. Carl was with us of course. Then Dio walked in and ruined the dinner! j/k
Meanwhile A-Cube was tearing it up downstairs. I finished my lunch and headed downstairs with Carl to grab a "feel" of how the club is while music is playing. I'll have to admit that I was very nervous, though I held it in pretty well!
I have to also admit that A-Cube's mix was the reason my set went well. I got REALLY excited. Like WAAAAAYY too excited! I think Dio witnessed it! Plus the more TH members showed up just before my set was on, the happier was I was to start my set. I actually ran to the booth!!
I started my mix while the club was somewhat empty with people here and there enjoying some drinks. I remember I was even clapping along with the track while the bar tender gave me the look that said "what's up with this guy?" FUCK IT! I still went on with my set and had my tracks ready. My hands were shivering like crazy though! I couldn't move the jog-wheel for shit! haha. Though after my first successful transition, I knew everything would be just great!!

About the tracks, this was an agreement between me and Carl since he wanted to start his set at 134. I finished my set at around 135. Plus Carl was okay with it. I also figured I should give these tracks a shot since it was my first time. I've witnessed many warmups but never really warmed up. It's like being in a car. Being a passenger is so different than being the driver, even if you're in the front seat!
Now I know though

I'm still unable to get over that night you guys! It was just perfect! It's like that girl you meet at the bar. The drinks were great! Amazing convos! Great sex! But you both part the next morning. Somewhere along the lines of a one-night-stand if you get my drift

I hated the DJ that kept standing right behind me most of the time and talking to me. LEAVE ME ALONE DUDE! I HAVE MY SHIT TO TAKE CARE OF!
As far for the sound system problem, I think it had to do with the fact that gains were too high. I only experienced that during Carl's set. Was the same happening for my set too? If so, then I don't think it is the gain since I had my LEDs on green after the first 2 tracks. I just nudged up the master volume to balance it out.
Moreover, I love how everyone went wild over the Benny Benassi remix or Jean Michel Jarre - Teo & Tea. I think that was the track that got everyone on their feet. I knew it would do wonders! Good stuff!
The crowd amazed me too since - like I said to many TH members - they are far more responsive than the Dubai crowd. Really enjoyed playing for everyone that night!
I am still amazed by the number of TH members that made it to the event though it was pretty far. Thanks a million you guys! You all gave me that energy and every time one of you showed up at the booth with compliments simply took me on a natural high! I wish I could see myself in that booth to understand how you felt about the music, but I'm sure it was great

My set list should be up in a bit, I'm just recapping on which tracks I replaced with the ones I had ready.
Pictures will be up too. Some lovely pictures right thur (right there!)
Thanks Amplifying Studio and Co. , Bank owners, friends, TH members, and of course... God

See you soon.... at Taiga Sky perhaps?
