It doesn't matter if there is 30,000 or 5,000 ravers at a gig, there should be no riots at all. I have never been at Sensation White or Trance Energy (events that have more than 20,000 ravers) and for sure there will always be like 20 being kicked out. But i'm also sure that there were no riots in those events before.
I went to Sunrise Festival for the last weekend of July in Poland, and there were 30,000 attending (2 stages, one open-air and the other in the amphitheater). The entrance was full of people but everything went smoothly and quickly, we didn't have to wait a lot. There were no riots. A few got kicked out (there was a fight right next to me just in front of Armin). Beer was sold in cans and many ravers were drunk, but there were no riots. And one more fact, Sunrise Festival is known for being the event where the muscled machos and bitches gather. Yet there was no riot or hooliganism!!
How many came to PvD's gig? Not more than 12,000 i'd guess. So the question is: how did this riot happen and how did those hooligans manage to steal from the bar? Whereas in such big events where you have 20,000+ coming, everything is being under control. For me the answer is simple, it's the lebanese mentality of those kids and parents, and the lack of professionalism from the security.
