Wow what a convo here took place since my last post!

First, *bows* to Rania, e-sam and Samer for their posts. I wasn't yesterday at Forum, but i believe those who said that a group was blocking the entrance or rioting. Not surprised at all since this happens in Lebanon I always see some soldiers or daraks standing outside, why don't they do their job? I remember at Fred Baker & Greg Nash (Q Entertainment) they came in to tell the staff to stop the event cuz it was almost 7am. Kind of limited tasks... the darak should handle without a problem this kind of group that makes riots.

Second, yes it's true that the security companies here aren't fully professional about their job. Maybe if you could tell them (and use a very strict tone in your voice) that breaking the rules won't be tolerated, then they would do their job correctly and honestly?

Anyway, good luck with all this in the future events. We hope that the solutions will bring great results and that the security guys will do what they are supposed to do.

Oh, and like e-sam said, going VIP solves a lot of things currently. We went VIP at Ferry Corsten's gig, and it felt like the quality was back

I can't agree more with Kacey. The security there was almost pointless, keeping in mind that it was OVER crowded like always. I expected that actually.. unfortunately they don't seem to learn from their mistakes, all they do is criticize others like Q entertainment and the crowd that was at sharam. when they were at mix fm's pvd... so this problem is not like some of you kept on saying after sharam POOR ORGANISATIONAL SKILLS.
Anyway, we can look forward for dubfire now to make up for our disappointment in PVD

The thing is the organizers are not to blame nor are the promoters. The lebanese EDM scene has so much potential, the biggest proof is this website and you ravers. But it sucks to find 10000 ppl at each event.trust me two days ago i was at cosmic gate here in montreal and i waited 0 sec at the door. You ask why i tell you because cosmic gate coming to montreal is not a HUGE DEAL where 100000 uneducated ppl come just so they can dance and sweat around all night along. I know that the organizers do the best they can always but after all u cannot expect for riots, fights and mistakes to happen when u have 10000 ppl at each event its just normal especially with the un educated crowd that attends events in lebanon. Trust me that huge amount of ppl cannot be handled no matter how security is tight.So until for example cosmic gates or dubfires or svds coming to lebanon not be perceived as a big deal to evreyone(ONLY A BIG DEAL TO The ones who really appreciate and love the music and such events like most of you in this forum) there will always be problems. You cant imagine how much you would enjoy the music and appreciate the dj more than when attending an event with educated ppl not necesaraly all the crowd but most of them, and with space enough to dance and not to choke like some of u told me i mean how the hell are u supposed to appreciate the music if you are sweating, its 35 degrees inside and ur being pushed evrey second or 2...

Well, for the music i must say it was good. Amadeus delivered a good set, Askew was the best that night. PVD was moderate. His mixing skills are awesome as usual. Decorations & light system was fantastic no comment on that.

As for the organization, when i entered, the 1st thing i noticed that it was too narrow facing the dj. Every1 stepping on each other. Actually the whole venue was narrow i donno why they did this.

2nd, my friend went out at around 3:00 & didnt enter. We were excited about this event 4 months & we always go 2gether coz we really really love trance, but those fuckin kids should aaaaalways ruin the night, RIGHT SECURITIES??
No way can they do anything in Lebanon. For God's sake just do your job. You guys r only good at shouting but can't implement any rule. I know the hooligans were hard 2 control but at least they could have done a better job & didn't let the tension reach that point.

3rd, the bar was the worst thing. It was 1 of the main causes 4 ruining the night by giving people glass beer bottles etc... 1st time i see this. Also people walking around with stolichnaya bottles???
Funny thing was that this was expected 2 be the longest bar, maybe it was, but the number of bartenders were the same. I haven't seen that much over-crowdedness on the bar.

Finally i love the way Mix FM organizes but this was out of my expectations. I hope things will change & age policies will apply. letting in 16+ kids but alcohol forbidden under 18 isn't wise at all.

Enough is said from me & all respected members of this forum. From my heart i wish to see a better scene & i know organizers will do something about this (im optimistic)

1st of all i really wanted to attend this gig more than any gig
Well everything was expected from being overcrowded to traffic @ entrance it's PVD ppl and is always the same TIESTO, AVB but the fights werent expected @ all
Traffic @ entrance is easily avoided by going there early like 10-10:30
and always go VIP as esam said it's worth it no overcrowding no nothing when i went VIP @ ferry's gig i enjoyed the most
those things r expectable it's a huge gig for god's sake everyone is going to touch you with their sweaty body juts get away from them
hope all thos rules will be applied and will have a positive outcome for the future events

Okay, its a been a long time since i have posted on the forum, but ive been checking it from time to time ..

i have read all the replies written before mine and its time to comment:

1- i have to agree with mixfm co-owner K-Reen on what she said on all the kids/door/security issues as i have previously worked in organizing events. and i have to support mixfm with their new-rules and please make it +20 not +18 ...

2- as for the door policy, i have arrived at the venue at around 10:30, yes the doors was very crowded cos the security were asking for ID's and everyone who's under 16 was not allowed to go in .. and please corrent me if im wrong but i was there !

3- ICEPICK post grabed my attention as he said he couldnt find a place to park, well thats obvious at many event and you know it, i know that you attend many event so you should know that coming early is the best solution to park your car close to the venue. i came a little bit early and i have parked in the forum parking (the one next to the highway).
and as for PVD's sound well as far as i know that your musicaly educated so you should've know that to expect from PVD.
eno c'mon man, check his previous tracklists before you come to the event so youll know what to expect, + its sais in big VONYC SESSIONS and today's vonyc session is a the darker and harder style of trance, listen to his show for god's sake!! now im not just blaming you, but alot of people on this forum like you will start arguing about pvd's music ( yii nya22 , yuuk , its was techy, rough bass-lines)...

4- as for the lighting, ive never seen a lighting show like this one in lebanon, and i loved the multi-colors laser .. i think that sound engineer is called " Ohoyo" or something like that, he's German i guess ...
the only negative thing about the whole setup is the lack of sound in the vip section !! its wasnt that bad afterall ...

5- as a wise men on this forum said, buy a VIP ticket and im also sure that your review will change !
