Review: Dj Tarkan Live at b018 (20-6-2008)

Born few years ago, theSUC kicked off with marked acts all the way responding to clubbers’ requests and needs. Once again in 2008, theSUC proved that clubbers wouldn’t exist with no special sounds, and so sound is nil without united clubeers. Therefore, the Sound Of United Clubbers strikes again with its lethal combination in order to satisfy our scene as much as possible.
I arrived to b018 at around 12 where you could easily feel the positive vibes in the air. Building the atmosphere with a some fulfilled music sounded really good. The place was getting pretty packed as my beloved friend Dj Ziad was warming up for the main set. Speaking of the warm up, it was really off the hook and Ziad knew exactly how to build it in a very unique way, throwing melodies here and fropping filthy bass-lines there prepared us for more craziness to come. Well done Zi !

Tarkan took over the decks while people were feeling more enthusiastic. Music was unbelievably nice, blending some progressive elements overall, but reaching to a soft yet edgy level of minimal supported by some noticeable Techno effects leaving us in a beautiful state of mind. The intro was a huge tease, introduced us to the main set which was surrounded by a melodic artistic background. This harmonious setting embellished the quality of the music and made it even more appreciable. Technically, I really do not like to pre-judge since it was my first time that I see Tarkan playing live, but from last night and past sets, he was definitely good in my opinion. The flow of his set kept us moving and getting pleasure of the Music being played. Everybody knew everyone, thanks to that common language called Electronic Dance Music! We were all dancing and enjoying the night, thus all you had was enough space to remain the interaction with Tarkan Örs’ music.
As far as I remember from yesterday night, everyone had a magical-weird-blissful look on the face! The crowd was Okay as well, lots of quality heads were there as it was clear that the majority were thankful and valuing that special music in different ways.

Unfortunately I had to leave way before Gunther and Stamina’s closing set, however I have a strong feeling that they did well as usual.
Sound quality was good in my opinion, you could feel the beat while chit-chatting only if you had to, the open roof as always helped a lot in adding more groove to the dancefloor. Needless to say that lighting suited the concept of the night as well.

Personally I enjoyed my night a lot, and I hope Tarkan also did as it was a lovely party to all. And to people who did not enjoy, oh well, suit yourselves eventually. Thank you, Dj Tarkan for that memorable night. And well done work from theSUC, hoping for more successful future plans as well.

I prefered Tarkan's previous visit to B018 , anyways , I left early because I was very very tired I woke up at 7h yesterday, maybe this is why I didn't enjoy my night as much as you guys!
