THE BEST SOUND SYSTEM EVER IN LEBANESE EVENTS HISTORY

Where to start ... my feet are killing me .... my head is still going up and down ... my whole body is still shaking from the amazing bass lines and outstanding beats these 3 DJS gave us throughout the night till dawn ....

Location : Forum De Beyrouth

Setup : You can say that we were in Dubia Pepperment Club but in Lebanon .. great setup .. very similar to huge clubs found in Ibiza ..

and i will say this again THE BEST SOUND SYSTEM EVER ... what a sound ... it gave us the true feeling of each beat .. each transition .. each smooth mixing style ... each BOOM OF BASS that drove people crazy :D:D

The light system was amazing .. very proffesional job .. a BIG THNX to the organizers ... they really made something new and showed us what true music and setup is ...

The Decoration ... its very nice .. clubwise thingy .. screens all over the place .. broadcasting the images live of the people raving .... and the VJ is very creative loved his graphics and 3D animation .. great job !!

DJs : The evening started with Djette L .. too bad i arrived on her last 2 songs .. i really wanted to check her music and style of mixing .. some other time hopefully ..

DJ Nelson .. took over the decks .. and reallly warmed uo the crowd in an unbelieveable way .. a amazing tune after the other .. the HOUSE style he played is something very unique .. loved his way of swinging between House genres giving us a taste of pure music ... his way of mastering the mixer .. mastering the effects .. created a crazy crowd waiting for the phenomena ...

The Phenomena : Marco V ... whatever i say now .. i wouldnt come closer to what happened when Marco V too over the decks .. the crowd simply went nutes .. jumping up and down .. goign crazy on each track he played .. giving us the journey of our life .. his set was simply amazing ... started with some House electro beats ... rising up to techno .. to reach perfection in TRANCE .. this guy is what trance is alll about ... Although he played a 2 hr set .. but it was worth in every second .

DJ Brian Cross : Seriously after Marco V ended his set .. i knew that noone will satisfy my ears as he did ... but yet Brian played in a way u say its clubwise IBIZA style .. swinging between all kind of EM ... jumping from track to another .. jumping from one genre to another ... bringing back memories in outstanding tracks that we still remember and love .. so YES people 2night we experienced PEPPERMENT and IBIZA in the same time .. and all i can say .. ONE HELL OF A RIDE !!!

Rave On people ....

What an incredible energetic set...
I am sooooooo glad i did not miss it. I was really tired and my back was killing, THANK YOU suha for convinving me to go!!

The minute i came in, i felt i was in a REAL club --> loved the setup, loved the lights/animation on screen, loved the way the camera feed was live (just like in peppermint Dubai)... All in all, I've been thinking that such an EVENT should be made weekly... YALLA EAGERLY WAITING FOR PEPPERMINT TO OPEN IN BEIRUT!!

And you know what made me really FEEL i was in Peppermint?? The self proclaimed MC (the guy with no t-shirt on)... LOL...

Back to the DJing: Marco V = energy = tech sounds... arghhh i so wished i was in the mood/physical condition to dance my ass off... Instead, i just pumped my fist in the air like the "old" ravers in this forum (right ahmad ;) )

Great night, i think it really showed the lebanese crowd what REAL clubbing in Dubai and Ibiza was about... A place for the VIPs that's discrete but at the same time very well located, and a place for the clubbers in front of the DJ!! "A bon entendeur, Salut!"

And one more thing:
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH YOU'RE KUFFDAM AND PLANT!!"
LOL!! It was great raving with you guys, but next time, let me manage all those pic taking, you could have done millions had you charged every1 for each pic :D hehe... I really hope to see you back in Beirut SOON!! As DJs, and as clubber!!
Missing the Lebanese raves!!!

Moudy and everyone else, please guys you do know that I always write the official reviews for TH, except when I don't make it to the event then SamEr does, so please next time refrain from posting anything until the official review is up! It's not for personal glory or anything of the sort, but as media we need something official that projects the forum's image to its thousands of daily visitors, something much more professional than stating an opinion or giving feedback about the night... I hope you understand my point for the times to come.

Given what was stated above, I will be delivering a summarized review this time, though I was really looking forward to a detailed one given how excited I was prior to the event and how impressed I became upon leaving. It was a great night indeed, one that impressed me in several aspects:
- Exceptional re-designing of Forum's interior space, truly morphing it into a mega-club.
- Outstanding sound system, the most crisp one I've heard to date.
- Superior non-audio entertainment: from visuals to cameras to dancers to...
- Tasteful DJ lineup, particularly with Marco the monster who was just relentless, merciless, pitiless, hammering those insane techy beats, pounding those insane techy melodies, teasing the crowd with electronic chaos then whipping it with a boom or a crash, and cleverly alternating between Tech House, Tech Trance, and Techno in what sounded like a trancier Carl Cox. You're complaining that his set was only two hours long, well I'm grateful it wasn't longer else my feet would've been perpetually bruised!

Overall, yet another historic night in Lebanon's EDM uprising, and hopefully one of many from Peppermint who proved their worth on the scene last night. I also send out a hope for their activity not to be bound to large-scaled events involving international DJs only, but to establishing the first true EDM club in Lebanon, one that is open to all genres and all crowds, unlike the currently enclosed clubs that only target their clientele.

It was also mad to party along with Kuffdam & Plant, who proved to be as fun to rave with as they are fun to rave to! JayCM took the words right out of my mouth: we hope to have you back among us soon, as both DJs and ravers!

V for Vendetta? V for Marco!

DIO WHERE ARE MY QUOTES???????? i work hard for those lines man! Kidding: what an amazing night, amazing set. Entered the place earlier than I've ever entered a rave and I must say you notice EVERYTHING when you walk into a rave alone for 20min (I recommend you try it...sad as it may sound). Everything I feel has been said: great sound system, amazing set up, blahblahblah. Marco V: what a set. I thought I was dead and shattered after K+P night but he seriously brought me back to life. I remember looking over at Salim after a serious round of air-fist pounding (Jean, welcome to the fist pounding possee) and pogo-jumping and telling him "I really like music that kicks my ass"-a quote I borrowed from John Askew describing his new live album--well my ass got KICKED and slapped around like a little DFSF*D&)(*&)(*!!! and Brian Cross: who is this guy??? unbelievable DJ i had a blast listening to him. Skip out the cheesy tracks next time though.

My literal only complaint is: MICROPHONE--Next time I'm going in camouflage on "Operation Sabotage Mic System". Guys, I'm pretty sure everyone there knew we lived in BEEEIIIRRRRUUUUT CIIIITTTY, we all already had our hands up in the air, really didn't need the reminder. Announcing the main DJ is more than needed to be done!!!!!! just a thought for next time, don't make me wear camouflage!
Are you ready to go on a musical trip with me, through love...happiness...music....AND PARTY TIME?

Nothing spells success like EXCESS!
