^ well Gen you shouldnt forget a few things in ur argument:
1- it's not like there are only 30 tracks released and these DJs are choosing off this small list?! if you care to check out the tracklists, u'd c how they are similar somtimes, but then again each DJ played very disctinct tracks and had his own style..
2- it's not like the peeps who are figuring out the tracklists are ordinary ppl who come to listen to trance on radio stations and check MTV for a few videoclips!! pls ffs if some ppl in this forum cant figure out most of the tracklists then who would?!
3- dont blame DJs for not playing IDs every single event, instead maybe u should blame technology that made it possible to follow up anything new that fast like checking tracklists online, listening to live sets and radio shows!! this is the way things are happening nowadays, i guess you should start to accept it!!
4- discussing a perfect set from a single point of view is veri biase, if for some it's playing many IDs, for others might be not.. for me for example a perfect set would be having like around 50% of the current best tracks and promos, 30% IDs and 20% classics. there's no right or wrong, simply an own personal preference...
so again chill guys, if anyone seemed to get to extatic over any DJ.. let them be! after all music's main purpose is to make the listener feel happy and satisfied, if this is accomplished then we're all happy
