i was a metal head back in the days but i gave it up, but still listen to Pink Floyd occasionally.

I was absolutely crazy abou The Cranberries, still am. They are mainly alternative rather than rock..
I also just love SOAD, Staind, Bush, Alanis Morissette , and of course Al Mighty Metallica!
