I'm wondering ... whats the main difference in giving a title for a track that has been mixed by someone else "mix" or "remix".

e.g:

Solar Stone ~ Eastern Sea (Martin Roth Mix)
comparing it to
Lume ~ Lume (Adam Sheridan Remix)

... i'm thinking that tracks containing Mix keeps the same melody & some instruments as the original. Remix refers to a completely different take of the original.

Just need some clarification ...

Technically speaking, "mix" should be used when the artist himself created a different version of the track example E-Craig vs Ratty ~ Call It A Sunrise [212 AM mix] | E-Craig vs Ratty ~ Call It A Sunrise [212 PM mix], or when he released it under an unknown alias but so that people know that it's him behind it he adds his known alias in after the title, example: Cupa ~ Mass Panic [Gareth Emery mix], since Cupa = Gareth Emery, and remix should be used when another artist remixes some producer's track, as in your own example of Lume. But when Martin Roth does what he did with Eastern Sea, in my opinion it's a mislabel, but as Bassel said "if u wana liv hapily ever after just consider them the same shiat"

Great info there DION, i thought of that...but then again...the labelling of the tracks were all kinda messed up so, thats why i needed clarification...thnx!

Hope this topic helps out all the other ppl who mislabel their tracks.
