Here is my Story!

It was in 2001 If am not mistaken, In France.
I remember being at my friends shop and I had to replace him for few minutes and watch the shop (a computer related shop) because he wanted to go to the bathroom and he did.
So I am there watching the people passing by (the shop was in a mall), and then a damn sexy girl come over, dressed like a clubber, she comes to the shop says hi and ask me about my friend, I told her he will be back in a while, then she said if I can do something for her I said sure (fuck yea in my mind) she gave me a CD and she said she’d like to duplicate it I said okey ill do it, so I plugged the CD in the duplicator and hit the COPY button, mean while the CD is burning, I went to her and we start talking, then she start lookin at the CD album pictures and I asked her, WHAT IS THAT CD? She said. THIS IS MAGIC, I was like hehe cool, wat kind of music is it?
She said TRANCE. [the album was TRANCE NATION 2001 MIXED BY FERRY CORSTEN]
Back to this time I wasn’t so much into Trance, I would listen to it but without realy knowing what it is or so, I was in into electronic music, Drum n bass, Trip Hop, House and that is due to my friends because in our neighbor we had a lot of people who draw on walls and make grafitie and x-treme skaters, roller baldders and skate board dudes and this is all what they used to play, I was born and grew up with electronic music . So I told the girl: Oh Trance! The Drugs Musik ! she smiled and said: u like it? I told her no not really, then she told me, DO A SECOND COPY OF THE CD AND TAKE ONE FOR YOU, I was like oh okey tanks, when both of the cd’s were done she gave me one and told me, THIS IS GOLD, LISTEN TO IT, YOU WILL LOVE IT AND ONE DAY YOU WILL THANK ME BECAUSE I GAVE YOU THIS MUSIC AND WOKE YOU UP TO LIFE.

Later on at night while I was with my friends in the streets, I get the cd and play it in the walkman and SHILLER HITS ME IN WITH Das Glockenspiel.
Few minutes later Flesh by Jan Johnston is mixed in and i was like WOW wait a min, this shit is nice, I told my friends I have to leave and go home, I went running to my house and while running the music was still on and I made it louder, Strange World by Push was playing.

I got home, went up to my room, locked the door, jumped on my bed, layed on my back and kept on playing the CD so loud on my ears and I was like SHOCKED and saying in my mind, wat da fuk is that ?! this is amaizing, the music was so good!

And then TENSHI by Gouryella came in, and that track changed my life guys, I did discover my identity with TENSHI, I was so shocked, could not tell if I am dreaming or awake it was magical.

I kept on playing that track over and over and over for months! I still play it so much till our days and everytime I hear it its like the first time I am hearing it.
And I felt in love with Ferry Corsten and start looking for him and he’s gigs in Europe.
By then, TRANCE became everything I would listen too and I start spreading it over to my friends to all the people in our block and when ever the guys meet to do shows for
x-treme sports I used to always snick to the DJ booth and give TRANCE music to the DJ and beg him to play it, until everyone start playing it, buying it and going clubbing on it.

I still have that Album that girl gave me and every time I see it and touch it I remember her and I do exactly as I did the first time, lock my room lay on my bed on my back and plug the headphones and higher the volume and listen and I smile.
Her name was GAEL, I wish I can see her again, well maybe she was an angel

well here s mine:
my oldest bro was a big fan of trance music and especially of tiesto in 1999.tiesto wasn t that much known in his production and music.i was soo young and had no idea about that kind of music.
in 2000 i began to dl some tracks and a lot of fucking commercial ones such as: torn kings,phat bass,.......
i really liked this music although it was crap .
i gave the cd for my bro n he laughed at me and told me that i should get some better tracks.
he recommended me to dl some tracks for pvd and tiesto and oakenfald.
SO in 2001 my trance carreer began and i started dling some good tracks: flight 643 10 in 1,sparkles and i dled the first video of tiesto live at kremlin . i was simply amazed by this video so i after that i had the chance to get a lot of sets of tiesto and armin in 2002 . 2002 was the greatest year for me in trance as i really discovered some aweosme sets and tracks!!!!
until now i still listen to these sets and i really try to forget abpout the first fucking commercial crap ccd i got!!!!!!!!!!

My story started before I was even born; I've been listening to the magical music of Jean-Michel Jarre while I was still in my mother's womb, as my older brother was a big fan of JMJ and would play his songs next to my mom all the time to get me hooked on it even before I came to life! Eventually, his little trick worked, and for as long as I remember I only listened to that beautiful electronic music.

I was never into commercial music, and I particularly hated everything that had a steady 4/4 beat; I used to call everything "Techno" or "Rave". I had a good friend of mine who only listened to Techno, and I used to hate his music like a bitch! This one day in 1999, we were on our way to watch a movie, and he had his Rio MP3 player with him, and so he told me "listen to this track". Naturally I refused, as I hated his taste in music, and I remember clearly telling "fikk 3an ayre inta wil techno taba3ak" (sorry girls ). Then he replied "this is different, this is Trance". I was like "ah what the fuck" and stuck those earphones in my ears...

...It was then that it all began, not with any track, but with none-other than what it is in my opinion the greatest Trance masterpiece ever to be produced - William Orbit ~ Samuel Barber's Adagio For Strings [Ferry Corsten remix]. I saw the light! The breakdown traumatized me, and from that moment until we went in the theatre and until the movie ended I was repeating Adagio over and over again.

It was then that I was reborn, and I thank God everyday for that moment and for giving us this music, a music so sublime that no words could ever do it justice.
