French start-up, Musinaut, has some big plans in store for the music world.

Plans that could fundamentally change the way music is enjoyed - and even more importantly to us, DJed.

Their format, MXP4, takes the MP3 concept, improves the encoding quality, then splits the whole thing into layers and tracks – allowing users to create their own remixes on the fly.

But how does this contribute in limiting illegal sharing?? (Since this tool was mentioned in another thread as a possible solution)

Proof thanks for the mention. Cube, to answer your question, you have to look at this as a more DJ-oriented tool, which only DJs will most probably be using. Which means that the public wont really slow their illegal sharing, but it will isolate the DJs from the public, and thus creating a safe environment for producers to garauntee that atleast among fellow DJs their work is not bieng illegally shared.
