I ordered a Pioneer DJM 800 2 weeks ago from ebay and the condition mentioned was great and all, even though it was used for like 3 days or somethin.
It just arrived today at my local Aramex branch and I picked it up.
Took that baby home, hooked it up to the setup, power ON, everything works fin... WOOPS!
LED screen doesn't work.
Everything else works just fine! Except that effects-LED-screen.
Disappointing? YES!
Surprised? Nope!
It's a typical ebay fault. Now the question is: Is this fixable? And how much will it cost?

Do you have the link for the auction on ebay? Plug that into the topic here.
Fixable? Yea, but you don't have to. Just email the seller if he's a business
account. Again, if you can link me up to the auction, I can possibly help you
out better.
I'm no technical guru, but it sounds that it can be fixed. Plus (and don't get
me wrong - I know it costed you money and you're disappointed) look at
the bright side - the mixer works and all. If the worse happens and you're
stuck with it though, you can still manage without the screen, but that
would be the last option.

Of course it can be fixed, nothing is non fixable...just take it to your pioneer dealer after you have a talk with the seller...and they will help with it...might cost a few but not so much i guess! Good luck !

Thing is, the shipment wasn't international.
Here's what I do in order to buy items from ebay: I'm registered with a service from Aramex that gives me the privilege of having 2 mail boxes; one in USA, and the other in UK. So what happens is, I order any item I want even if it is only shippable inside the USA/UK. When the item arrives there, Aramex ships it to any of their branches in my city so that I can come pick it up directly from there.
The first process takes "x" days since it depends on the seller and what kind of postal service he/she uses.
The second process takes around a week.
So what I'm trying to tell you here, is that this wasn't intended to be an internationally shipped item. That is, the seller has no idea about this. Just like all the other sellers I have dealt with.
I'm not too sure why I typed this up. Maybe I'm somewhat frustrated right now. I'm too busy thinking how much will this cost me.
The link will be posted later on tonight or tomorrow since it's my friend's ebay account, not mine, that I bought the item from.

Get this you guys!
I'm getting a refund of 300 dollars LOL!
I chatted with the guy and it seems that he knew about the faulty screen. So he agreed to refund 300 bucks cuz that's how much it will cost me to fix it apparently!
After talking to him, I went back to fooling around with my mixer for a bit and found out that channel 4 doesn't even work too!! WTF?!
So I used the digital slot and it worked.
*sigh*
Oh ebay.... Why you does zis to me?
