Artists that fell into a loop

The ones i can think of right now, even if they can make successful tracks or remixes but they failed to reinvent their sound or maybe they lack any talent to create a new style.
Aly&Fila,Sean Tyas,Tom Colontonio.
They're all good producers however something about listening to A&F tells me they are trying to BS you, besides fact that all their tracks sound the same, there's isnt even an attempt to change their sound..Lost Language,Key Of Life have the same Core only different paint color that its never too hard to spot A&F track, they're the most predictable producers i have ever listened to.

That's why people like Ferry,Markus,Leon Bolier,4 Strings,Andy Moor,SolarStone,JOC style cant be diss-respected because they have a unique sound constantly changing.
I read once that Ferry Corsten changes the sound of his track once it starts sounding familiar or predictable, and thats absolutly noticeable.

Lately a lot of tracks just sound the same its always a high pitch start, big boom right in the middle and then the song slowly dies.

who are the Producers in your opinion that failed to Reinvent themselves? or those who tried and it didn't work?

Actually, A&F, Sean Tyas, and Colontonio's sounds are quite new. Their sounds started 3 years ago. Which quite frankly is not a long time. Sean Tyas start to slightly change the way his tracks sound.
Aly & Fila moved away from their melodic sound into a more energetic one since 2004. As for Tom, his latest releases sound different. The one that is actually slowly joining the gang now is Mike Nichol.

Oh and for the record, Sean Tyas produced a house track. Can't remember the name of alias he worked under though. Something that has to do with Eddie. Haha.

I think that Aly & Fila , and Sean Tyas , have a new sound that started a couple of years ago yes , but if you listen to their remixes / productions, you will see alot of resemblence is each one . There is an element of monotony through the bassline , kicks , hats etc ....

Again , this sound has its own crowd and listeners , but for me i cant listen to more than 3 tracks in a row , without changing the sound after that in any set !!

Ferry has it a bit , but his style is constantly changing , so i cant say that he is one of them ....

I think Deadmau5 , Adam K & Soha , Inpetto have somehow repeated their style in almost every production they made in the past year or so ...

will think of more , and get back to you ....

PvD hardly produces anything nowadays. His album wasn't that good either. His collabs are the reason it did so well.
His latest remix for Ways & Means by Jon O' Bir wasn't so bad. You can tell his sound changed except his kicks.

I agree with what niksterx said about Aly & Fila. I love their productions, but they are too similar one to another.I previously said on one of the ASOT topics that I wished they would do something a bit different.

I should have posted the interview of Sean Tyas for www.FTB.pl in May :P but i changed my mind about it later on.

He said that he is trying something new and here's a hint: expect this year a rework of Mirella in a new style that might shock many. The style we got used to when listening to Sean has amazing effects on the dancefloor but Sean realized that now too many young "producers" try to copy him so he will change his style. He also said that back in 2005-2006 it was more fun cuz not many were making tracks with those sounds.
It's true that A&F, Tom Colontonio, Sean Tyas, Paul Miller and Nitrous Oxide stick to those sounds but isn't it what Trance is all about? Uplifting, trippy, hypnotic, addictive melodies and killer fast energetic bass.

Anyway, it would be interesting to see how a tech-trance track/remix by A&F would sound. If it's not good they can go back to their usual style. Basically an artist makes tracks in the style that he loves. If it satisfies others (a few or many, depending on the DJ's ambitions, perception, etc...) so it's great, if not then those dissatisfied fans can check other artists. Like me, i don't like Sander Van Doorn's style so i don't check his releases/events.

Personally if i were a DJ i would make tracks and play tracks of the subgenres that i love. Those who love those subgenres too could come and share the fun with me, those who don't just have to go and see another DJ. I know that a DJ makes/plays music to make people happy but he has to be satisfied also. Aly&Fila, Tom Colontonio and Sean Tyas LOVE the energetic and uplifting subgenres and they are really really good at it then i don't see any reason why they would try something else, although a change is useful from time to time.
You do in life what you are good at in the end, you would feel discomfort if you get out of this "comfort zone".

I've just realized something, you all keep on saying "why doesn't Sean Tyas make tracks in a different style?", "why don't Aly&Fila change their sound?" but i haven't seen you questioning or complaining about, for example, Cosmic Gate and Sander Van Doorn for playing always the same stuff (tech-trance). Not even once. When it's uplifting, you have to attack the DJs who make/play it. When it's tech-trance, you bow to it and the DJs who make/play it don't have to try new sounds.
So, if you question the Uplifting DJs/Artists, question also the Tech-Trance DJs/Artists instead of discriminating. I'm not targetting anyone in particular, i'm just saying "you" in general.

I do agree with Roonaldo though, that A&F, Sean or others can try the same sounds/new sounds with new instruments, samples or basslines.

EDIT:
Yea Colontonio's sound is a little bit different in the most recent releases. Mike Nichol has joined the energy gang. I'm also thinking about Daniel Kandi. But hey, it's damn good!

What Q said is true when it comes to tastes. Some can't listen to non-stop uplifting, others can. I remember the February's event in Warsaw where Synergy, Galen Behr, Simon Patterson and Sean Tyas played non-stop energetic and uplifting tracks for 5 hours. Guess what? The dancefloor remained full (not overcrowded) from the first to the last second! Then came Bart Claessen with tech-trance and it was still full. You want a perfect example about tastes? The psy-trance events can last a few days and the psy-trancers enjoy it the whole time. Call them stubborn or narrow-minded or whatever, that's their taste and they don't regret it. Just like i don't regret being an Uplifting Freak!
