Paul van Dyk remix contest at Beatport!

Paul is looking for a talented producer to remix his track with Giuseppe Ottaviani, ‘Far Away’, on Beatport.

And for the very first time, the Beatportal community will have the chance to vote for the best submitted remixes.

The remix competition is open to producers from all genres, as PvD is looking for innovative, cutting-edge and thought-provoking mixes of his track.


‘Far Away’, from the 2007 album ‘In Between’, is perfectly tailored for the dancefloor, and a great opportunity to create a new interpretation of the huge cut — never before available on Beatport.

Paul wanted to create this unique opportunity and to challenge production gurus and fans around the world.

”This remix opportunity is a first for a track from my catalogue and it’s a great chance to see where other creative minds within the Beatportal community can take this journey.”

The remix contest operates in two phases; the first involves a submission period for remixes (from May 12th through June 2nd), and the second involves a voting period by users from within the Beatportal community (from June 3rd through June 23rd).

The first place winner will have their winning remix released digitally on the Vandit label and a Vandit / Paul van Dyk EP, a Pacemaker pocket-size DJ system, a $100 Beatport Gift Card, and a copy of Ableton Suite, including Ableton Live 7, Sampler, Operator, Electric, Analog, Tension, Drum Machines, Essential Instrument Collection 2 and Session Drums.
