Well was pretty shocked when i read this in the upcoming releases when i was browsing. is that what Oakenfold is going to do and do again? remixing genres of hip hop and rnb that dont really deserve that much of an attention in the EDM scene ??
Im not bashing Oakenfold, he was a good influence in EDM...but time after time his releases are not what describe his past..

In case you didn't notice by now, Oakenfold is more of a commercial DJ and Producer right now. He remixes tracks - and producers sometimes - for mainstream pop/rock artists. I watched the documentary DVD that he released last year I think (?) and it showed more of his real side as a producer. He's not the best in the EDM scene, but he's the best (as if) to those big shots like Spears, Madonna...etc. He built so many connections through out the years he disappeared in while scoring for movies that he found the real route to money as a producer. That's about it really. Plus don't forget that Above & Beyond did remix a Britney Spears track before

^they did...but they are still quality producers an easy example is their new release Home..

Haven't heard it, but I find no reason to bash an artist for remixing anything. Its his job / wish / interest. Tbh, I liked his remix of "Madonna – Sorry", I judged it by the quality of the track and not the name/artists.

Same thing should go for Tiesto's remix of 'Pirates of The Carribean', or even Leama & Moor for remixing Britney's 'Someday' (very nicely done) & Avril Lavigne's 'I'm With You' (also nicely done).
