This double A side EP features Print This Story and Ricochet Effect and a new musical path towards the more minimal and melodic side of techno by Umek, in comparison to his normal hard no nonsense productions. Print This Story is first up and is a rather deep, epic (just over 10 minutes long!) and melodic offering. It's got a slightly lush feel to it in parts with ominous sounding pads to boot.

Ricochet Effect is beefier and bouncier right from the off and comes complete with a fat electro type bass. It's got good percussion in it prior to the ever growing and hypnotic hook that enters the mix.

Overall this is an adequate output from Umek but still retaining some of his trademark sounds if not at his trademark speed! A quality release and addition to the ever-rising stature of Manual Music.
