Detroit Techno.. a major influence behind modern EDM.

I mean Tech/trance and Tech/House seems to be the trend don't it?
why don't we dig a little bit deeper shall we? expand our minds to old, yet forgotton sounds.. that got us where we are right now
Detriot Techno and Chicago House are two long forgotten schools that in more ways that others created, and formed our modern day EDM music.
since Techno "hybrid" music has become such a hot commodity, i thought it would be "Kosher" to discuss one of the most innovative releases in that department... and one of the most innovative, influincing releases in EDM.. no doubt

Thanks to legendary singles like "Strings of Life" and "Nude Photo", Derrick May is universally regarded as the definitive techno producer; by hijacking the rhythmic sensibilities of house and adding the intelligence of European electronica and the spirit of Motown, he single-handedly defined and articulated the sound of Detroit. But despite (or perhaps because of) his status as a "legend", nary a bleep had emerged from his studio since 1990 before the release of Innovator, a collection of his past work. This double CD contains the aforementioned "Strings" and "Nude Photo" singles as well as other classics like "It Is What It Is", "Salsa Life", and "The Beginning", all of which have been available only in vinyl form on May's own Transmat label. Until he re-emerges from a self-imposed musical hiatus, your course in the spirit of Detroit begins and ends here.

His newer sets are so haaaaard to find, i only obtained 2 on my older hard drive, and they were beyond fucking amazing.. will try to obtain more
