Crow mate excellent reply ! Let's all just go back to living in tents and riding camels, thats the way proper men do it , RESPECT
Genesis, im on about choices. How many times in gigs have CD Djs been pissed since they forgot to burn that certain tune, or cannot find that CD , or had that CD scratched and the player cannot read it ! Yea I did try hardware, for several years too, and i still have hardware equipment. But it just doesnt cut it for me anymore, ive moved on.
Trancefusion that software your on about is called 'Mixmeister' , very known software, but sucks for live gigs. They use it to do megamixes and that sort of stuff (intros, outros, mashups) , and its not that easy.
Your argument about popularisation is really weak, Crow replied best. The fact is when somethin is popular it produces competition and competition refines the industry and gives better results. Why does a certain guitarist or band break it big while others stay behind? Its exactly like that. And softwares are what makes so many young talented producers come out of their shells and express their musical talent, thus making the scene even better.
