A-Cube, with all respect, i think your mentality is bringing the scene backwards. Software mixing is the present and the future, big clubs around the world dont have cdjs anymore, just mixers and controlers. Some clubs dont even hire old skool djs anymore. You want to know why, because old skool djs dont deliver 5% of what Ableton and Traktor let you do.
Before I continue, i would like you to check this video out:

It shows the legendary Richie Hawtin explaining his gear. And trust me you will by the end of it have atleast considered changing your view on the issue.
With the new technologies, you are able to provide so much more end product. Beatmatching is a thing of the past. But that doesnt mean that a software dj should just go out and play tracks the traditional way (one after the other) and use the auto-sync, that IS cheating. But, when a software Dj goes out, delivers live mash-ups, element extractions, accapella add-ons, layering, EFXing and so much more, than my friend he belittles the old skool dj.
What good is it if a DJ goes out in a gig, plays 25 tracks after each other with no creativity what so ever, just good continuity, when someone like Sasha, Gui Borrato, Richie Hawtin and even the respectable Deadmau5 goes out and blows you off with a creative DJ set full of all the things I mentioned above. Answer? nothing!
I dont think that the old skool dj is fading away, i think the old skool dj has already faded away. Its the past baby. Software is the future get with it.
As for Deadmau5, i think he is a respectable producer, im not a big fan of his stuff, but I respect it. Dont be hating him since he doesnt fit in what you classify as a DJ. Deadmau5 has produced more tracks that many of those old skool djs that you classify as the true dj, and produces and delivers good quality EDM entertainment that frankly sells and brings cash. Excellent marketing strategy for a guy whos bringing the Dj scene forward. And who said software mixing is just a matter of 'play' button!
