Tech Trance or Uplifting Trance ?

WTF?
Haven't you ever stumbled upon a track that started techy, with a very uplifting breakdown??
Or with heavy techish beats, yet a very sensual melody, non the less????

We're not Naive Kamil. But such categorizations are necessary, because SIMPLY, tracks are much more complicated these days than just to be simply classified as TECH. UPLIFTING. PROGRESSIVE. HOUSE. TRANCE.

Both work for me, though some tech trance nowadays is just too annoying.
I really like Simon Patterson's style. A quality tech trance track would be :

JOC - Rotterdam (Byran Kearney remix)
or
Viceroy - Affirmative Action (Fabio Stein remix)

On the other hand, the new "upcoming" artists that produce uplifting trance are really REALLY bad. It's just a matter of mashing some keys on the synthesizer or keyboard and thinking it's energetic. 2 of them best uplifting tracks I have heard are:

System F ft. Armin - Exhale
and
Velvet Skies - Uplifter (Mike Koglin re-edit)

So it really depends on the track itself, not really the genre anymore.

Both of course. And it also depends on the mood, though always making sure to grab the good valuable stuff.

But if I had to be really selective, chances are I'll end up being biased to Progressive Trance: it has those edgy kicks, the quality groove and definitely the melody.
