All right Tranceheads! Recovering is complete and i can calmly enjoy reviewing this uplifting episode
The show begins with the usual intro by Armin. We have new tracks of Marcus Schossow and Tom Colontonio. The Future Favorite was this time very competitive! The difference between Leon Bolier's track and Ferry Corsten's of the last episode was only one vote!
- The show begins with a Wippenberg remix of the famous Markus Schulz - Cause You Know. The Wippenberg touch is recognized without a problem here. There's this harder bass banging 2 minutes after the beginning. But not too hard luckily since the show has just begun!
- The warm-up continues with Heatbeat - Nebula which is of course softer than the previous track "a la Wippenberg". It's a nice progressive track that can be played wherever you wish!
- Black Pearl - Coral Sea (Dj Shah's San Antonio Harbour Mix)
DJ Shah continues on the road of successful and very beautiful melodic tracks with this remix of Coral Sea
whenever i think of German DJs, it's always the hard side of Trance that comes to my mind. DJ Shah (and Cosmo, half of Purple Mood) are the only German DJs i can think of if someone asks me about melodic German DJs heheh. It's great to see that there's one who doesn't do like the rest!
- The Maltan duo Tenishia and the vocalist Kirsty Hawkshaw seem to be a successful collaboration! Here's an average track with the nice voice of Kirsty, Invisible.
- I’m really glad to see Jan Johnston on ASOT! Jorn van Deynhoven & Joshua Cunningham remixed her track Let The World Fall Apart [Around Me] but i think that this is a dub mix unless the original doesn’t have lyrics! Anyway, it’s a relaxing track
must-have for every Jan Johnston fan!
- Sied Van Riel remixed another quite relaxing track Ashley Wallbridge feat. Meighan Nealon - I Believe. I believe that it’s also a must-have for those who enjoy this style! This track and the previous have some similarities! I feel like dancing at the beach now haha
- Everytime i hear a track of Marcus Schossow, it has rather hard sounds. But here he is under his new project alias Progresia delivering a sweet proggy track Tears Behind Sunglasses! It’s a must-have on my Wanted Tracks list! Looking forward to hear more of Progresia!
- It’s the first time i see such result in the Future Favorite votes. And i’m not really surprised. Ocean Drive Boulevard is honestly superb and Ferry’s Fix of Into The Dark is also much better than its original! Tough competition

- Most of the Trancers who started listening back in the 90s should be fans of Vincent de Moor, one half of the famous Veracocha – Carte Blanche. The man himself made a 2008 rework of his track Sunflower. So sweet melody… so sweeeeeetttt! *flies away*
- Lexwood feat. Ferrin & Low - Chimaera fans of Alex M.O.R.P.H. & Woody Van Eyden, and i’m almost sure we’re all fans of this duo, will love this! Chimaera was a monster in the Greek mythology, and a deadly virus in the movie Mission Impossible 2
two negative things. This track however is full of positive feelings! Lovely melody with a voice screaming at 2 moments. Then it speeds up a bit, the voice calms down a bit, the melody disappears for a few seconds and the energy is back! I’m so happy to see Alex back to the melodic sounds after Life Less Ordinary
- The English DJ Mark Eteson is back with another beautiful track featuring Dan Stone, another DJ/Producer from England, who produced Made In Bahrain. Keep an eye on Mark in the next years
at the end of the track, Armin chose the shoutout of Fahd Badran from Dubai. So it’s nice to see that there are listeners of ASOT in this sci-fi city!
- Tom Colontonio was one of the new faces in 2007. 2008 began with 2 new tracks by this American DJ, first Suspect and now Serious Truth which are both energetic uplifting beauties! This track has in addition has a nice guitar melody before the more tranzy melody and the energy “a la Colontonio” come back
- It looks like the Dutch Peter Martijn Wijnia is on the way to be one of the new faces of 2008 although it’s too soon to talk about it! But he’s on the right way! ASOT addicts know him from his more energetic track Not The End. Nowadays was chosen Tune Of The Week on ASOT 327. Somehow its melody sounds very familiar. It reminds me of a track in the early 2000s.
- Not only we should keep an eye on Scandinavia in the coming decade, but more especially on Sweden for 3 reasons (or rather names). Airbase, Marcus Schossow and Sebastian Brandt! Seb is only 19 years old but is already quite big! One half of Selu Vibra, one half of Under Sun (with Marcus) and with solo tracks like Technology, So Cold and Never Alone, Sebastian is on the right way to become a massive star in the Trance scene! The Swedish DJ remixed 11 Days for the German Cold Blue (which was voted Future Favorite earlier in ASOT). So now Cold Blue remixed So Cold for Sebastian

- Don’t you love this moment when you recognize an old track that you love? I’m talking here about Plastic Boy - Silver Bath (Glyn Waters 2008 Remake)! Of course the original is sooooo much better and remakes aren’t always that well done but i think that Glyn Waters made an enjoyable version
- Falling of Stars is back on ASOT for the 2nd week in a row with the remix by the Polish DJ Paul Miller. Looks like Armin really appreciated this track! Congratz to Dmitri Federov and Paul Miller
- If you’re wondering where the less melodic tracks are, here’s your answer! Marksun & Brian - Saturday. It starts normally, but right after the vocals it shifts to commercial sounds
at least that’s how i interpreted it. Too bad after 100 minutes of ecstatic trip!
- Time to show you the 100th release of Anjunabeats! For info, Above & Beyond are on a world tour to celebrate this achievement, their first destination being the Anjuna Beach in India! So this 100th release is the remix by the massive Finnish duo Super8 & Tab for Luminary – Amsterdam. Lovely female voice with energetic groove, simply perfect! And congratz for Above & Beyond and Anjunabeats!!
- It’s the first time the show has 23 tracks, and as usual it ends with a Classic requested by the listeners. This time it’s Clear Blue Moon, a track by Armin under his other alias Rising Star
