Ozone is Airbase. A few years ago he did a Trance mix of the theme from the movie The Rock. Officially released in 2003, this gem just got 3 new remixes, one by non other than Alex Morph. Typical M.O.R.P.H. beat characterizes this remis - hard edgy beat and a phat bassline. The buildup isn't too impressive: just the various elements of the beat playing around... but then comes the breakdown! And boy what a breakdown! a soft trancy lead is playing with heavenly background vocals, then followed by that phat bassline again, until they are all silenced and in comes the melody! Uplifting as M.O.R.P.H. always is, the melody quickly builds up with the bassline and preps us for the dropping of the beat, which eventually drops in like a storm! Great work by Mr. Alex!

The Jupiter Six Vocal Mix has singing vocals in it; not the calibre of Elles de Graaf but they're OK. The beat is also on the harder edge. The breakdown starts off with the vocals, mounted with the original classical melody from the movie, then followed by the euphoric Trance synth and one hell of a beat buildup while at the same time maintaining the powerful vocals until the melody & beat finally kick in together! The vocals are then re-introduced until the melody is withdrawn. Quality stuff, very uplifting, but I would've prefered a Dub Mix.

I liked the buildup of this mix better than the other 2. The already hinted in the buildup, which leaves you wondering just how he will introduce it in the breakdown. Trancy strings are layered with a bass chord accompanying them in the background, then the trancy synth is progressively droppped in above them all while the bass chord transforms into a sold bassline, and then, boom! The beat is dropped in and the hands are in the air! A very warm touch on this melodic/uplifting monster yet as energetic as all the other versions. My favorite mix of this vinyl.
