SamEr already reviewed the vinyl containing the hypnotic vocal trancer Beautiful Friend and its dub mix Trance For Cowboys. Now this guitarish release is out in CD quality, including two brand new remixes: one from the Russian cowboys themselves, and another from their neighbouring Swede Ozgur Can! The megadrive mix twists the original around for a techier take but doesn't offer anything too far off the shore, while Ozzy's dubina (Bobina-Dubina - get it?
) puts things into a whole different perspective, with his signature echoing dirtyness in rich stereo distribution. Trance For Cowboys is still my pick of the lot... those vocals didn't appeal to me at all, I'm becoming a vocal hater it seems!
