I just can't get enough Joni material, and neither can you, I know... Nella is his latest precious offering, with the usual quality that Joni never ceased to deliver. Simple, catchy, hypnotic melody, on top of a phat bassline and a pumping beat, in other words: Progressive Trance at its best.
The JPL mix (JPL being Joni himself) offers a more uplifting interpretation, with that signature JPL synth, and of course a breakdown to die for with its high level of emotion and artistic beauty. One of those tracks that make you take a moment off to thank God for this music...
Latigidi progresses things down for a housy touch, still bordering on the ProgTrance realm though, with again a killer breakdown. Dreamy stuff, morning-ish material.
Overall, a 10/10 release, and I rarely give out that score!
