This is the second in the series of JOOF Recordings artist albums after Steve Birch's Aquarius. Again, JOOF are not asking the artist to come up with any love songs, R&B, or anything that’s out of character with their sound!! They want them to express themselves with music that can be played on the dance floor, after all this is what they are known and loved for. This time JOOF Recordings bring you The Digital Blonde 'Synthology'. A production career spanning nearly 20 years, Riki Smith a.k.a. The Digital Blonde has certainly proved his worth as one of the true pioneers of Trance. Having a plethora of singles and remixes under his belt, he has gained a solid dedicated fan base that amazes them there at JOOF as they have to deal with the fan mail! The Digital Blonde phenomena started back in 1996 with the world renowned 'Antheum'. This was championed by Sasha, Digweed, and Warren, and has become one of the world's true classic records of all time. Things didn't stop there, as Riki kept rolling out hit after hit with Electra, Mooga, and one of the biggest anthems at Gatecrasher: 'Legato'. Taking time out to take care of his new born daughter Sasha and to rebuild his studio (eventually putting to rest his Atari ST!), Riki soon got to grips with his new Apple Mac and has churned out nine brand new tracks for this his debut album. He even took time to re-make his classic Legato especially for this album! Let's waste no more time on words as the music here sells itself. Nine pure Trance tracks, Trance music as it should be. The Blonde is back! Release date scheduled for the first week in April!

ONLY YOU gets my omfg-i-just-came award. I died over this tune when I listened to it with Gen in a JOOF's radio show ... and bam, here it is...in my hands, in my ears, in my veins...pulsing with vocal chants and 4/4 beats with progg-psych basslines. Can i go on? I dont know ... but its been on repeat for 5 times now.

This is it for me ... for now. I'm off to another day to start this album again ... hopefully this time my ear needle wont get stuck and loop track 4.
