That mysterious Tiesto-played track from Ibiza last summer finally sees a release from its creator Johan Gielen who has just signed to Black Hole! I got this on promo from TunesForYou, but it's due for a retail release on Blackhole in the coming weeks.
Fantastic male vocals and great trancy breakdowns, but the biggest surprise of all: tech-headed Johan Gielen producing Progressive Trance! And it actually sounds good! Way to go for someone shifting (temporarily?) from harder-edged Trance to something proggier for the first time, which asserts that Johan's production skills extend beyond his usual sound; heck, even the title suggests something techy!
But he goes on pitching the tempo up a notch with the Unbreakable Overdrive Vision, holding on to his precious vocals and offering quite the innovative techy melody whilst preserving the progressive ambiance of the original! A very fine job indeed!
The final Akatishia remix was a bit too dark'n'tribal for me, but would work great on a late night warm-up session, so I guess it's all about Johan for this one... can't wait to spend my pocket money on the legit Black Hole release!
