What happens when Airwave and DJ Vincenzo team-up as a duo to produce two tracks? Of course a Japanese projectname with a double-sided vinyl including the massive In My Mind. Airwave is Laurent Veronnez (Green Martian, L-Vee, Lolo), while Vincenzo is Vincent Kriek, that has done quite alot of projects the latest years and is now very busy producing Progressive Trance.
In My Mind
A magical uplifting Trance track, with a lot of noticeable Airwave influences. Right from the start the melody is slowly growing and teasing itself into the spotlights. Nice and deep sounds support the melody and they sound very surrealistic. Bassdrums and hi-hats increase the intensity of the track slowly. We arrive at a breakdown where the melody fades away, leaving a minimal fuzzy sound creating a restpoint in the track. The melody is built up a second time with an even bigger intensity. Other subtle melodylines are integrated throughout the track making it a very warm. A banging true Trance track!
Guardian Angel
This is a more experimental Trance track, especially in the beginning. It's got a slightly 'oldschool' sounding bassline and Airwave's sound is quite recognizable from his darker productions. A breakdown kicks in with high frequent sounds and an angelic female voice humming along in the break. The melody kicks off, which is simplistic but banging. Bombastic Trance, but a little too simplistic in the melody.
You're in for a fine Trance experience. In My Mind is a very nice typical Airwave track, and together with Vincenzo, another very talented producer, they did an amazing job on this one. Guardian Angel is lower on my marklist, but is definetly worth some plays for the Trance maniacs!
