It seems Barthezz is back to the EDM scene, but this time producing under his real name (Bart Claessen). "Playmo" is the follow up from "Persona Non Grata", IMO this one is going to be huuuuge as soon as it gets its release by the end of august under Yakuza Records. Already gained massive support from the best djs around the globe like Cosmic Gate, John O Callaghan,Talla 2XLC, Ferry Corsten, Jochan Miller, Yves Deruyter, and Marcel Woods. Tiesto also ended his set with "Playmo" in "Cream @ Amensia" on 6-08-2005.

"Playmo" comes in two versions. "1st Play" is characterized by a pure techy buildup, and just when you start feeling that the beats are becoming a bit annoying an unexpected uplifting melody hits the track at 2:46 mark. Hands up in the air for a goosebumpy twinkling melody. I never knew barthezz with this new decent sound. Too bad this journey is less than a minute, and the tune shifts again to the tech-trance bassline.

In case you found the "1st play" too hard for your ears, "2nd play" will not dissapoint you. Here's a more trancy version. Energetic progressive bassline with trancy synths in the background. Another huge breakdown over here, with another outstanding melody. Reminds me some of "York" tracks, as the melody seems to be coming out from guitar strings. Top tune.

ex-barthezz has outdone himself

1st is my favorite. Barthezz is unbelievable he disappears (maybe producing?) and pouf a BIG quality track. Great tune highly recommended to get. I wonder how it will sound on big systems like this Friday at Ferry's event shu Amadeus?

^ Ferry has been hammering it, so he might play it b4 Amadeus does.

actually after a few listens Play 1 grew onto me...and for a tech-trance hater thats sayin somethin! KUDOOS to bart for his latest creations.

I prefer: Barthezz, his real name sux Bart Claessen :S hmmm but I think it's a marketing thing! He cant release a real trance record with his older nick.
