Ronski Speed ~ E.O.S.

This is the second solo single of Ronski Speed - one of Germany's most talented producers - after his debut track Iris that did quite well. He also collaborated in the Sun Decade project with Rough Mullar (aka Sonorous). The latest release was a mix-cd of Ronski Speed under the name Positive Ways, a name that we will see again later in this review. This new solo track is again a melodic track, with a remix by Dutchman Perry O'Neil. Furthermore, it's been voted Future Favourite on ASOT a couple of weeks ago.

Club Mix:
This is the most uplifting mix of the vinyl and therefore a true "Club Mix". A fast-paced bassline picks up the tempo from the start and gradually the track evolves into an uplifting trancer with hectic effects and even some electronic sounding effects. A long-stretched melody slowly builds up in the background until a long breakdown, where the main melody is introduced. And what a sweet melody it is: a very soft, summerish sounding Trance track, supported by warm sparkling effects. When the raging bassline returns you find yourself in a magnificent Trance trip. Ronski Speed does it again!

Positive Ways Mix:
This was the version that you could find on the debut mix-cd of Ronski called Positive Ways 3. This version does not differ very much from the Club Mix, only the bassline and effects are more relaxed and the whole track is shorter then the Club Mix. The same warm melody and sweet sounds surround you in this easier, but still uplifting rework! Very nice as well.

Perry O'Neill Remix:
One of the big promises of the Dutch Trance industry. The man from Armada, that remixed a lot of tracks recently, with one of his highlights the brilliant remix of As The Rush Comes, now debuts in Germany with a proggy remix of this uplifting monster. The start of the mix has quite a dark atmosphere with a nice proggy bassline and percussion. A darker edged sound creates an interesting twist in the uplifting dazzling sounds of the other mixes. Then the melody is introduced and, to be honest, this was quite a letdown. The original sparkling bright sounds have been replaced by a weak, empty sound and does not tickle your senses at all. Quite a shame, because the rest of the remix sounds pretty nice-produced.

The Club Mix is a wonderful uplifting experience and will drive your crowd crazy. The Positive Ways Mix is an easier laidback version, better for the beginning of the night. The Perry O'Neil Remix didn't do anything for me, but I'm sure there are people thinking differently about that, so give them all a listen. Stunning stuff from the Germans again!

Although am not a fan of "vs" things and not a fan anymore of PVD cuz that guy seems to LOVE playin the same set over n over again, i decided to download this liveset. Ronski's touches are interesting - he's got a couple of nice rmxs...
