Swiss top DJ and producer Dave Joy strikes back with this new hard trance mix compilation. Dave Joy got his first big break as Trance-DJ at a local club in Switzerland. This opened doors to other interesting contacts which gave him the possibilities to expand his DJing. Since the year 2000 he has been organizing the well known Streetparade in Zurich, where local friends as well as DJs from abroad spin their records to a major audience. Since beginning in February 2001 he has worked at the biggest DJ-record shop in Switzerland, called the “Number One Record-Store” in Zurich. In November 2000 he had his first chance to produce his own track with a production team from the French part of Switzerland called “First Impression”. Out of a lucky coincidence Dave Joy happened to meet Marco “Reverb” Guardia , the mind behind the highly acclaimed “Flutlicht” Project. (Together with Giotto DJ they do their productions for the German Label Overdose under the project name “S.H.O.K.K.”). This unique remix happened to become a huge hit in clubs all around the world. The track can be found on more than 40 compilations worldwide.
A lot of good things have happened to Dave Joy since then and the Hard Trance X-Plosion vol. 25 CD is his next thing.
This double CD includes a first disc with a continuous mix containing 20 tracks. The second disc is a ‘Reality Bites EP’ with 4 full mixes coming from that label. Let’s check out some highlights...

Dj tatana vs. the mystery - soulcry (the mystery remix) Nice and fast hard trance anthem track. The break in the middle is something maybe unexpected as it’s very calm, long and serene. Stack synths will lead the way to the pick up and the beat is back on track.
jamx & de leon pres. chaos 01 - sexomatic (rework) The original !SexoMatic! dates back to 2000 but this track is still a beauty. It’s catchy, pitched up and energetic. The break is breathtaking, the synth sound used is just like liquid, flowing through the tune. Once the kick is back in it’s a definition of hard trance for me.
Dj jo vs.tom-x - eternal spirit (dj jo club mix) Very cool track with Kay-Cee’s – Escape sample. The drums are on the heavy side giving this whole mix more weight. If you know the original Escape track (1998) you will like this one as well, this is a legendary sound.
T-78 - when the sun goes down This is dark hard trance; fast and a smash through your window bass. But suddenly an amazing break appears with high strings (with long release effect) and cool synth pad arpeggio. The only thing you want know is that beat to kick in. During the drumroll taiko drums, electric kicks and even more percussions will join to amplify this part and once the beat kicks in it’s fire on the dance floor. This is a true hard trance monster!
Bubble fish - sushi lover (dave joy remix) Robert Gitelman (G&M Project) produced this beauty. This tune starts out a little funky but quickly reveals to be a hard trance release with pulsing beat and left-right channel shifting synth effect. Massive stack synths prepare for the main melody to come; this synth/overdrive guitar riddle is the next thing, prepare to hear this one all around the coming summer.

Conclusion:
This is a good hard trance CD.You will find quality hard trance tracks and that great bonus CD from Reality Bites with 4 full tracks to appreciate. The mixing is very short but I really like the track choice and the order they have been mixed. Thumbs up for Dave Joy.
