Its a Polish one-two on Mondo Records as Nitrous Oxide and Mysterious Movement join forces for this euphoric pumping trancer. Some of you may know Nitrous Oxide for his work on Anjunabeats (Frozen Dreams, Magenta etc) but maybe you're not familiar with the other guy. Mysterious Movement is also from Poland and is an upcoming trance producer and on this showing, I hope to hear more from them.
The Original Mix is a funky euphoric trancer with plenty of uplift and grunt; an eerie vocal pierces the euphoria and sends the track into orbit. Before that though, the track gathers pace as it slowly builds into a mammoth breakdown before letting go in an explosion of sound. Its very reminiscent of Nitrous Oxide's work for Anjunabeats with a slight nod to the excellent "Magenta", which was the b-side to "Show Me" on Anjunabeats. If you like your trance epic and floaty, this is one for you. Now for the remixes...
Mondo Records head honcho Darren Tate takes control of the first reintepretation with an almost cinematic 9-minute behemoth. Stripping away the euphoria of the lead mix, he slowly weaves together a progressively building version; slowly gathering momentum and poise. Keeping to the thematic approach, he teases and taunts with a nice and epic build-up; utilising synths and pads to create a delicately woven version. He also uses echoed male-like vocals before he ushers in the female lead, resulting in an almost theatrical sound. After the full-on approach of the original, this one will sound more progressive and less full-on but in a way, it is the Original Mix viewed from another angle and more theatrically. The build-up is lush, as is the norm expected from Darren, and is suitably epic. When the track kicks back in, it doesn't use the vocal initially; rather it relies on the synths, keyboards and beats before the vocal comes in for the second part.
Corderoy drops an equally anthemic re-rub following his remix work for Avenger and Angelic. Going faster and deeper, this version is definitely aimed for the feet and is also suitably epic. Utilising cool effects, he creates a tough mix that is sure to find favour with the more euphoric crowd. The beat disappears at one stage and its just the vocal. Then a plinky-plonky sound comes in and the beats start again. As far as remixes go, this is a very dramatic and, at times, eerie version that is definitely up there with his Avenger remix. Very atmospheric and impressive.
