H4z - Mainroom Trance EP
Posted: Sun Jun 11, 2006 11:26 pmI first got introduced to the main track of this release few years ago and since then i've been awaiting its release.. Unfortunately this didnt get an official release yet, but i was glad to find this promo being released digitally last year on few sites so i had to buy it and get myself a copy of this rare great EP!
this is the work of a finnish project by Jakki Kyttala & Antti Silvennoinen under their alias H4z delivering 3 stunning tracks!!
first it's Antti & Jarno - Visitors (H4z Main Mix) an energetic uplifter with some dreamy effects delivering that atmospheric sound that goes harder and harder throughout the track while repeating a beautiful melody over and over again..
second track it H4z - Blind (Instrumental Mix) and this one continue where the first ended, the uplifting feeling is still going on strong, the same bassline going on until the breakdown at around minute 2 when a new melody gets introduced reminding us of the sweet production of Bobina and the likes.. While the breakdown continues for over a whole minute the melody starts picking up energy more and more until the bass kicks back in and we got a full on hand in the air trancer!! what a beauty!!
finally, we get to the track that made it all happen! the gem that i've waited for so long! H4z - Northern Riser (Antti & Jarno Mix) is a track that got something special in it that makes it so unique, something in the structure and production makes this a very smooth track yet at the same time very energetic trancer that would just make you turn the volume as high as u can and enjoy that hypnotic groovy melody that goes repeatidly over and over again with different pads and sounds.. a track that gives a feeling of going fast going high and not caring about anything else around!! a brilliant track that although it's somehow old definitely deserves a full review!!
